World Cup 2006 Golden Boot

This has probably already been done a while back, but I couldn't find it in the 4 seconds I looked for it. So I have started another one, plus we now know the confirmed squads, etc.

My prediction is: Fernando Torres

I think there could be a huge figure against Saudi for Spain.

Pauleta should score a hatful alone in the Group stages against Iran, Angola and Mexico, so I'll go for him.

But I think Park Chu-young will suprise alot of people this World Cup.

I really can't look past Adriano. He's certain of a first-team spot for Brazil, and after seeing their display against New Zealand in which they showed the awesome flair they've got all through the team, he's bound to be up there.

I expect him to compete with Klose, Henry, Villa, Ballack and RVN for top honours...

Indeed, This seems the most uneven game along with England - T&T and France - Togo. I have my doubts that Torres will be the prolific scorer for Spain though. Villa was only a goal behind Eto'o in the La Liga scoring charts and has really been on fire, so he'd be my choice. Much like Toni at Fiorentina this year.

Portugal have really struggled in past World Cups, and most notably their forwards always disappoint. Pauleta is a fine player, but Portugal's goals will most likely be spread around the team, with possibly Ronaldo getting most.

I've heard Chu-Young is one of South Korea's best prospects too although I've yet to see him play. Should be interesting to follow :)

I'm going say Peter Crouch will win the golden boot!

Although you're probably joking, I actually do fancy Peter Crouch as an outside bet for golden boat. I can see him getting the goals in a world cup that is severely lacking quality instinctive strikers.

I can see Crouch putting two past T&T thats it. I'm not sure who I think will get the Golden boot but I think that it will be someone unexpected.
