hairy Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 No I'm not talking about the friendly matches but the lack of good players leaving. Infact none. Rob and the Board have done well keeping hold of the better players. At the moment, it looks as though City will start the new season with a good squad of young players (generally). All the players I hoped would stay when the last season ended are still with us. I would have been even happier if one or two old players had left but at least the younger players are with us and we can build a team for the future. Does anyone know when the transfer window closes?

Thracian Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 I think we need to shed some players. At least five to be honest.
Tubes Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 End of August I believe dont we get a month longer than the premier??
filbertway Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 I think we need to shed some players. At least five to be honest. Get rid of them all and play the under 18's and reserves Guarenteed promotion and the wages will be very very low
Maybes Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 dont we get a month longer than the premier?? The window dont close for the lower league teams until march 31st.
Thracian Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 Get rid of them all and play the under 18's and reserves Guarenteed promotion and the wages will be very very low I should have expected that.

Ric Flair Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 The window dont close for the lower league teams until march 31st. Are you sure? I'm pretty certain this season lower league clubs have been bought in line with the premiership's transfer window policy.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 Are you sure? I'm pretty certain this season lower league clubs have been bought in line with the premiership's transfer window policy. They have.

Dr The Singh Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 The only thing we can guarantee to be shedding is tears. More like shedding pounds (money)watching city play, especailly away from home!!!
davieG Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 More like shedding pounds (money)watching city play, especailly away from home!!! I stand corrected, that as well
Scow Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 Wigan will probably pop up with a bid for one our players somewhere along the line.
Loake Posted 25 July 2006 Posted 25 July 2006 So far we have done really well, however a lot can happen in a day, and probably will, we just have to hope we are not forced to sell any first teamers.
