yep just like all his fooball and non-football businesses have gone bust.

any new owner can get us bankrupt. in which case its best to continue as we are.

A couple of his American teams have been wound up.

Don't let the actual facts cloud your judgement.

On another subject Manwell, I want to buy your house. I have leaked it to the papers that i'm going to offer you £200k for it ... will you sell to me without knowing the exact bid? It'll be a risk but a fun one, go on. I'm a really nice bloke and would never do anything iffy to you.

Any new owner could make us bankrupt....

What is so worrying about going bankrupt? Seriously. I can only think of one team that has folded in my lifetime.

Many US teams were wound up, I don't see that this reflect on him personally or his abilities. If you remember, soccer was never that popular in the States.

For goodness sake... the board could stick as we are now and not go bust. The long term future of the club is at stake and you seem to treat it like a flip of a coin. There is a very real chance that if it all went wrong we could end up in debt for 35m instead of 15m!!!

Any new owner could make us bankrupt..... yes obviously they could, which is exactly why the board are going to seek assurances on every tiny point before they accept any deal from prospective owners. Yet you seem willing to accept it now without any knowledge of it or without know the exact risks, just because you fancy a gamble.

first and foremost the board knows how rich he is, so they want as much money as possible. how can anyone forsee the future so they can get guarantees?

Bit ott here and incorrect also.

You do know the bid, but everyones else on here knows there is a bid but thinks it is £200K. If you don't sell you're a nutter - especially as its run down and you're not gonna get another bid on the place. You might have to go into a 1 bedroom flat, but its a lot better than a house without a roof, and sh*t all on the floor!

Are you willing to risk being the 2nd? Or going into admin again, you think people will be out there to help us out again like last time? Especially if they don't get their full investment back. You think we could survive a 10 point deduction.

Obviously it sounds ridiculous to you that people are looking at these risks. Well it is equally ridiculous that people are willing to accept an offer they know nothing about.

Really? Chucked out of the league system would be the probable fate - like Aldershot.

NASL folded. if he owned us and the championship folded you could hardly blame him

Thats true of his St Louis team but the San Jose Eathquakes folded because of other reasons.

Well my offer was only 1p.... and I remortgaged it for 20m in his name. So he is now fooked.

yes you paid £225k for your house but my mortgage lender has said its only worth £200k you cant afford to pay to run your house, so what do you do?

a: keep going, and as you cant afford any home imporvements the value will drop further?

b: sell at £200k theres no profit to be made but you've lived almost rent free?

c: hope that someone comes in to match your £225k?

Or Maidstone, Or Fiorentina.

Not that we are saying this is going to happen. just that...

YOU HAVE TO SEE A BID BEFORE YOU BACK IT, IT'S COMMON SENSE.

Your getting like Thracian and his one man crusade to drill in to every fan his thoughts on Sheehan, King, Mattock, Odihambo, Porter and Dodds.

Give it up mate, just let them ride this out themselves on any dillusion and fantasy they like. Nobody knows the real facts, well not on here anyway.

A) seeing as no one has guranteed it's 200k he could actually be offering me much less.

Maybe you should ask the trust what the board thinks his personal fortune is... they seemed rather dubious as to whether he actually had the money or not. You should check their posts in the last week.

Sigh... of course you are not going to get guarantees about EVERYTHING!!!!! You can't guarantee results for a start, even with money. But there are things they will want to know about. Interest rates on any of his loans, when they would be repayable, what happens if he popped his cloggs, if we didn't go up what would his plans be!

You don't seem interested in any of that though. You see £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£'s and think our problems are over.

Not ridiculous mate, not ridiculous at all.

TBH, debt doesn't scare me. How many times has a club like Northampton been in receivership? Three or four I think. The last time they were declared bankrupt saw them come back stronger with a better ground. I'm not saying I want this for City, but I am saying that debt isn't the end of the world.

I do not understand how anyone is able to comment on the MM bid either way at the moment as none of us have any facts to go on. We all have feelings about whether we like the 'idea of Mandaric', and no one is going to change them until more details come to light.

Me? I just want to see a future that involves investment in the squad, getting the ground back and moving forward. I don't see the current board providing that.

It's been a slow day at the office.

Busiest morning I've ever worked, as you can probably tell from my almost total lack of posting. :P

It's getting ludicrous though, people are arguing against each other when they have virtually the same opinion!
