reynard Posted 6 November 2006 Posted 6 November 2006 Yes, you better e-mail us if a current member & it's not been received. Include some other details to enable us to verify membership though. i sincerely hope you are not emailing what might be confidential info to people. if you are then that is extremely irresponsible. whilst I appreciate you consider yourselves to be guardians of the club surely you should at the moment maintain a dignified silence unless you have some concrete information you can reveal to all and sundry before this becomes something of a "i know more than you do and i'm taking my info home with me" situation.
The Don Posted 6 November 2006 Posted 6 November 2006 Can anyone who received the e-mail, confirm not exactly what was said but if it was a worthwhile e-mail and it outlines more than what we know now?? If anyone wants to pm me with details i'd be greatful and it wouldnot go any further...
The People's Hero Posted 6 November 2006 Posted 6 November 2006 yeh, but you only need minimal spin to replace giles. What???? That's the King of Spain you're talking about!
Ric Flair Posted 6 November 2006 Posted 6 November 2006 I can't see how the board can turn this down, unless Mandaric is really taking the piss and I can't see why he'd do that. He's in the driving seat because he has money and the club don't, I just hope the board are realistic in what they want. I like the fact that Milan is openly talking about his intentions, etc. Whether people think there is an alterior motive is possibly their own insecurities and paranoia. Keep going Milan, don't give up.

Keep going Milan, don't give up. Can't say that I want him to give up either Ric. Mandaric isn't being quiet about his intentions, and I can only view this as a good thing, as it shows that he will not keep his cards close to his chest and it'll help to get the supporters on his side. Do you have any idea exactly when this week the board will be meeting with Mr Mandaric to consider the finer details of his offer? 'Cos tbh, if Mandaric has offered them a fair amount of cash, got them the stadium back and promised to make cash available for transfers, I can't see anybody rejecting the offer.

Keep going Milan, don't give up. It's bizarre how some fans view this. There is no other way he could possibly gain anything from Leicester City if we don't get promoted. His main intention would be to do that and how can that be such a bad thing? He would raise the value of the club then sell it off a few years down the line to someone with more money. Milan don't let the weirdo’s put you off, the majority of decent fans welcome you to the club

He's offer needs to be carefully considered.

No they aren't. I think the Trust have a duty (if that's the correct term) to keep Members up to date but without revealing anything that may be construed as confidential. Im still none the wiser after the email I received.

This 'Oooh no we might lose the training ground' is complete and utter b0llo0x. If you had invested £25m into the club you would do whatever it takes to get that back and more! If fans want to stay in this shit league and constantly under achieve and end up like Forest you're going the right way about it. It amazes me that every other club in the division would bite MM's hand off if they had been given an offer like we've had, but oh no it’s not good enough for some people. The mentality that still runs through some fans heads is nothing short of ludicrous!

Er, quite a few teams in this division have cash behind them and not been promoted. it's going to be primarily a loan, not investment. And if you looked through my earlier posts, you can see how money can be taken out without a new buyer. And did Wolves or Ipswich bite his hand off?

If we don't how do you think he will get his money back? Goodbye training ground, goodbye players. Just because people don't think like you doesn't make them weirdo's. To be honest you have to question the mental capabilities of someone who backs a bid they actually know nothing about, rather than those who don't.

Yes I'm sure all the shareholders in the division would sell for less that they paid for their shares? You have no basis for either of these statements, so don't start ranting at those who are taking a reasonable view and asking only that the medium and long term risks be considered.

I think that sums up the way most of the fans connected with the club are viewing this whole saga and I for one actually agree with you for once. I can see why the club want to go over finer details, but there's no way they can let this opportunity pass by after seeing what he's already achieved in this league and the higher league of English football

And did Wolves or Ipswich bite his hand off......????? NO you idiot, they were never tabled an offer. You have absolutely no evidence or information that backs up what your saying. If you’re ever given an opportunity to maybe improve something but involves taking a slight risk what do you do? Considering the piss poor situation we're in at the moment there really is no other alternative than to except this bid and see where it takes us.

There are more people out there that know backing a bid you know feck all about is quite frankly ridiculous.
Smudge Posted 6 November 2006 Posted 6 November 2006 D'you think the finances are unimportant? For us, of all clubs? It's just that, for me, it seems important because Mandaric can directly affect the finances and only indirectly affect the performance on the pitch. And is the money offered enough to guarantee premiership football? Because that level loan certainly is enough to guarantee bankrupting us if it goes tits up... Nice research and interpretation Swedg; I have one question though. If Mandaric loaned cash to LCFC what does he take as collateral if the club has few real assets? Was the Portsmouth loan secured by the Portsmouth real estate.
lcfc_jme Posted 6 November 2006 Posted 6 November 2006 No it sums up how you and he feel. There are more people out there that know backing a bid you know feck all about is quite frankly ridiculous. From the people I have spoken to, opinions expressed here and in/on other places, I have to say I've seen much more support for the takeover than against it. And there are people out there who know less about it than I do. I wouldn't say it was ridiculous, blindly optimistic is the phrase I prefer The board will sort out the finer details, but on the surface I'd throw my support behind it because it'd be giving us cash and an increased chance at promotion - two things we seriously need atm

If Mandaric loaned cash to LCFC what does he take as collateral if the club has few real assets? Was the Portsmouth loan secured by the Portsmouth real estate. At the moment Teacher's hold a charge over all the assets of the football club, so he would only be able to take a second charge on the assets. So, if it all went tits up, Teacher's could take their pick, and MM could pick over what was left (i..e. players, maybe the training ground, unless Teacher's took them first ). Of course this could change if MM renegotiated the Teacher's loan, and maybe MM would have first charge on all the assets.

I'm one of them, but as has been stated a 100 times on here it has to be right. For all you know MM could have tabled a bid that is a complete piss take, how can anyone blindly back something that could ruin this club for all they know? It might give us an increased chance of promotion having money in the short term, but it also gives us a higher chance of going bust long term. It's all in the detail of the deal, only the trust on here know those details. I'd bet they don't know the full story either.

Yes I know the deal has to be right and that if MM is taking the piss then he will be rejected by the board and the shareholders seeing as they're also City fans. The fact that the board are actually going to meet with MM having already supposedly completely rejected a pointless bid suggests to me that he is being completely serious and has good intentions for our club. Having taken this into consideration, and also seeing what he did with Portsmouth, I'd like to see him do the same for our club. Like I previously posted, the board will handle the finer details of his bid, and will act dutifully on what the meeting tells them. If they accept it, then great they'll have done something I, along with many others including yourself, want to see happen. If they don't accept it, they'll release a statement saying why they didn't, and I shall read it to find the reason out for myself.

bold_fox Posted 6 November 2006 Posted 6 November 2006 When are the Board meeting with MM, and when do you think we'll get news on the situation ? ? Really frustrating bein kept in the dark.
Foxes_Trust Posted 6 November 2006 Posted 6 November 2006 All the shareholders should be holding a meeting this morning at 9am with their hands out saying 'Thank you very much Mr Mandaric' And the fact they've been stalling over this is a complete joke. So you recommend bend over & take us then do you Master Fox, have you never heard of negotiating the best deal?
