Milan Mandaric has targeted leicester!

Jon Barber 'understands' that the board meeting yesterday heard that the deal is on track and will be finalised by a week before Xmas.

MM will attend his first City home game tomorrow.

That come in over RL then? If so all seems good... to be honest if MM is attending a game at the board invitation then that would suggest things are positive rather than negative [keeps touching wood].

You never know, they might surprise us by announcing him as chairman earlier than expected tomorrow. :P

Unlikely to go quite that far since the shareholders still have to agree to the offer - but may be an introduction to the fans with the suggestion that, come Barnsley, he will be.

It might make some sense... but then again there'll be a bigger crowd and a [fingers crossed] more straight forward game against Barnsley which would probably suggest that would be the day for anything to be formally anounced.

Anyone else feeling a itch to push this thread on 100 pages ???:blush:

From another forum:

Is that to be taken as a given or is it from an unreliable source?? (you normally know this whereas I do not :P )

There is a lot of scaremongering at present but what is true that Mandaric is a little suprised at the Clubs books, they are not pretty reading.

There are some fairly greedy people involved on the LCFC side <_<

With much of it coming from you Barton?

On the basis that the shareholders get 21 days to consider the offer & the FT as a shareholder has no offer document in our possession, that makes being in place for the Cardiff game unlikely

This was our response to that post of Talkingballs

"Last night you say????

Well that brings into question the accruacy of the information, since the meeting started at 8am !"

With Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee and Dumbass Foxes_Trust all sharing the same login it looks as though the one who doesn't realise that making personal comments are inappropriate for an elected member of the fans organisation is on tonight.

Will you stop for the love of God. Get another log-on and do your slagging that way...how many times do you have to be asked nicely?

Only if you take your full 21 days to consider it. One would have thought that if you are going to accept then sooner rather than later would be the most appropriate action to take.

I still remain amazed that as a member of the Trust I do not get a say in which way the Trust votes.

I still remain amazed that as a member of the Trust I do not get a say in which way the Trust votes.

As a member you will get a say, once a proper legal documented bid is received, the Trust board will initially analyse the detail & then a members meeting will be held.

We have a timscale plan in place, a room provisionally booked for the members meeting and a letter drafted ready to send to all members, but we can't issue as yet due to the lack of the bid document.

We will post an official update on our website, as soon as the bid document is received.

In the meantime we were just trying to re-assure via the message boards that things were happening (as in a meeting yesterday) & correct any "informed" posts which appeared to be mis-leading fellow fans.

Congratulations Milan Mandaric submits a formal bid thread, you have successfully reached 100 pages of rumour, hot air, conjecture, imagination and fluff.

Jolly good show, old chap.

From the Mockery

By Bill Anderson

Milan Mandaric will be at Leicester City's clash with Sheffield Wednesday today to run the rule over his £25million takeover.

On the day of the previous home game two weeks ago, against Preston, the City shareholders gave the green light to the tycoon's plans.

It was a decision that was warmly cheered by the fans, the majority of whom have always been supportive of the move.

Now, Mandaric's first visit to the Walkers Stadium since the takeover talks began underlines the progress which the business negotiations are making. And the Serbian-American millionaire is assured of a warm reception, both from the stands and, no doubt, in the directors box.

While the legal niceties are being sorted out, neither side can make any public statements until the actual bid is formalised, which it will be in due course.

However, the signs now are that Mandaric's takeover will be completed in time to allow City boss Robert Kelly funds when the transfer window opens in January, something that was causing concern. And no-one can doubt that the injection of money is needed. Regardless of today's result, City have lost the momentum of October's good run and a string of injuries, plus some poor displays, have combined to bring them back down towards the lower reaches of the Championship table.

Kelly returns to Wolves next week, the club where he had his first spell in management, albeit as caretaker. And the last thing he wants is to go back to Molineux in the throes of a crisis.

His squad is being stretched to the limit fitness wise, and that makes it all the harder to turn the corner, so the breather of a free midweek could be just the tonic they need.

Kelly said: "There is no magic formula, there wasn't in October, and we just need to get down to more hard work again to get back on track.

"The break might be good. People know we work hard and whether that translates to the pitch is something we hope is the case.

"We do try to put things into practice, it doesn't always work, but one thing we can guarantee is that everyone, the staff and the players, will work as hard as we can."

* Tickets are still available on the door for today's match, or telephone 0870 499 1884 for further information.

Nay do not worry it's still £25 mill, the Mockery cannot be wrong :worship::appl::jump::yahoo::chant::dance::cheers::scarf:

Bring on the Redknapp!!! :chant:

He's already been quoted in the Merc as liking his current job in the media too much and he's seen what affect management has had on his dad and he's just not interested in managing anyone.

He'll be the next Gary :P

Ah well... Curbs! Dowie! Newell! "can't be worse than RK" but is that really the right attitude to have when looking for a new manager?

RK is still what he was when he took over a "caretaker" a "stop-gap" not a perminant solution at all... the question is can we get anyone better and wouldnt we probably have to wait till the summer to get somone in on a permanent basis? Cotterill*?

*- Still my prefered choice to be honest.
