Ric Flair Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 He's still set to take-over, RL have it right, that's one thing they pretty much have done during this Mandaric saga. I just hope MM gets in quickly before January and disposes of the manager and majority of the under-performing players before it's too late and we get relegated.
Steven Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 From FansFC. Mandaric plays down Leicester City worries Milan Mandaric has called press speculation that he may not be able to complete his Foxes takeover a 'joke' Sunday newspaper reports claimed that the Serbian businessman could fall foul of FA rules if new Portsmouth owner Alexander Gaydamak did not complete his buyout of Mandaric's Fratton Park shares. "It is a joke as far as I am concerned," he blasted. "I know the regulations of the FA, and I would not have opened talks with Leicester if what was being said in the story was true. "The man I made the deal with (Gaydamak) has lived up to all his commitments, and there is no problem at all. I have no shares in Portsmouth at all now and I will not in the future. "I am surprised that this story appeared at all, but we have bigger fish to fry now and I am hoping the deal with Leicester will be completely finalised as soon as possible."
brookfox Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Get the feeling one way or the other we'll know the answer by the end of the week. Quite simply this is make or break for our club.
Babylon Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Get the feeling one way or the other we'll know the answer by the end of the week. Quite simply this is make or break for our club. Nah it'll go through, i'm pretty confident now. I hope Milan has a big broom.
Ric Flair Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Nah it'll go through, i'm pretty confident now. I hope Milan has a big broom. And the broom has nasty infections in it's bristles to give our under-achievers a dose of something unpleasant.
Collymore Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 It's going to be a very interesting january that's for sure. Look at westham, they have worldclass players who are not making a difference. I hope the players that we bring in in Jan understand the hardwork and commitment they will need to supply to save us from relegation. It looks like another squad change for Leicester. We must hold the record for players in and out over the last few years. I remember under MON we would have the same squad for ages and I got excited if signed a reserve player. Now it just takes the piss.
brookfox Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Nah it'll go through, i'm pretty confident now. I hope Milan has a big broom. Please be right!! Another 90 minutes like, errrr, pretty much every single one in the last 3 seasons are seriously testing my loyalty (which is painful to admit). Milan's checklist should be the broom, a wad of P45's, his cheque book and some contacts!
lookwhaticando Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006  Good morning world of Leicester City, glad to see you're up to the usual tricks - it's on, it's off, it's on, it's off, it's on, it's off cycle of events. These days, my day just isn't complete without reading two totally contradictory stories about the takeover. I'm going to feel lost and empty when it finally goes through (or collapses, as we keep being told it could). Mandaric would be foolish to attempt a takeover when he still owns the club, and I don't think he's quite that stupid. Good to see he's still talking to the media about stuff, it'd look a bit iffy if he didn't.
Mort Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 People we should try to bring in are: Stephen Pearson David Vaughan Luke Varney Rene Howe (from Kettering Town, one hell of a talent) ...we need proven midfielders, my suggestions remain Chaplow (WestBrom) and Izzet (Colchester) there you already have to very good attacking options who would imrpove the team a great deal, after that you can start looking for a striker who can hold up and act as a target man (probably somone experianced on loan from the prem) and perhaps an experianced goal keeper (Russel Hoult?).
Maybes Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 We need a couple of defenders a few midfielders and a hit man upfront.
The People's Hero Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 We need Billy Sharp. Fryatt needs dropping for a few weeks and giving a kick up the ar se. What he really needs is the new manager to come in.
Ric Flair Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 We need Billy Sharp. Fryatt needs dropping for a few weeks and giving a kick up the ar se. What he really needs is the new manager to come in. Another small striker though. We need a new manager first because Kelly doesn't have the tactical awareness to play the right football for strikers under 18 ft.
SilverFox Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 We need Billy Sharp. Fryatt needs dropping for a few weeks and giving a kick up the ar se. What he really needs is the new manager to come in. You mean a new manager, 'the' new manager suggests that there already is one.
Ryanside Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Sorry if this has already been posted, i can't find it. From thebluearmy.co.uk Simply a 'joke' Milan Mandaric today described as "a joke" a report that a lingering link with Portsmouth might block his proposed takeover of Leicester City. It was suggested that if Pompey's new owner, Alexander Gaydamak, failed to pay what he still owes Mandaric then his shares would revert to the Serbian-American business tycoon. And because FA regulations say one person cannot have an interest in two clubs, it would have meant Mandaric would not have been able to complete the deal for City. But Mandaric quashed the News of the World report, saying: "It is a joke as far as I am concerned. I know the regulations of the FA, and I would not have opened talks with Leicester if what was being said in the story was true. "The man I made the deal with (Gaydamak) has lived up to all his commitments, and there is no problem at all. I have no shares in Portsmouth at all now and I will not in the future. "I am surprised that this story appeared at all, but we have bigger fish to fry now and I am hoping the deal with Leicester will be completely finalised as soon as possible." Mandaric made his first trip to the Walkers Stadium since takeover talks started when he watched the 4-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday. The setback, which means City have taken just one point from the last 18, underlined the urgency of the financial backing for City boss Robert Kelly that the takeover will provide. Mandaric said: "I think the manager needs help to bring in new players, but I was impressed with the attitude of the players, especially with the referee not helping them! "My experience tells me the squad needs the addition of some experience to help the good, younger players. The manager knows that too, of course, and is obviously doing his best under the circumstances. "It was also good to see that, clearly, the players were all playing for their manager, and I thought that was a very important point." Mandaric's £25million takeover is still going through legal processes and the plan is that, all being well, he will be in place to help boost City in the January transfer window. His visit to City was a clear indication that things are moving in the right direction.
Ryanside Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 i like the sound of this bit Mandaric said: "I think the manager needs help to bring in new players, but I was impressed with the attitude of the players, especially with the referee not helping them! If true it shows he is still really keen and not too pesimistic about our current situation.
lildave3 Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 I'm liking Mandaric, he definately wants to help us become a big club again, and his comment about the ref was great
Jon the Hat Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 i like the sound of this bit If true it shows he is still really keen and not too pesimistic about our current situation. The whole article shows he doesn't care if we are bottom of the league, he is buying us to launch the Foxes brand into the US of A I tell you!!!
Ric Flair Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Photographic proof he was there: " Timmy, you see that fool in the home dug-out? Take a good look, it's the last time he'll be spending his saturday afternoons in there, poltis ".
Master Fox Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Photographic proof he was there: Looking good Milan, not sure about the bloke on the left though
Swedging Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Photographic proof he was there: Reason TNBD is looking worried is because MM is saying, "First thing I do, I'm having that fecker Low taken out and shot."
Ricey Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Photographic proof he was there: I love the way Tim is rubbing his hands Loadsa-money!
