Another Fox Fanzine rumour

It's a done deal :dunno::dunno::dunno:

Be nice to think it's true... but we simply wont know until the club issue a statment saying so... if MM still wants to buy after yesterdays horror show then he'll probably want it sorted fast so he can clean up the club over X-mass and head into january with a strong managment team ready to strengthen the squad.

Great news if true. But surely it can't be completed yet?? I mean, the 21 days for the Shareholders to accept it seem to have flown by. I didn't get that drunk last night (or was it last night?!?!) that I passed out and slept for over 2 and a half weeks did I?!?!

No one seems to know if the 21 days is manadatory or not. If it's optional the Shareholders may have voted at the last meeting to forsake it if MM was satisfied after due diligence and the offer was stilll the same.

Right you are davie, right you are

Guess we just have to sit tight and wait for a statement from the OS or clarification of the story. Hope it is already done though, I wouldn't want MM to pull out after witnessing what he did yesterday :pinch:

Just want to sum up what I have read in todays Telegraph in contrast to the News of the World:-

Discussions were apparently held with Milan on Friday in London and he is going to make his firm offer tomorrow (I should imagine this will be the much spoken about offer document) at the club's Annual General Meeting.

This is obviously a lot less far fetched than the News of the World's 'reporting' but equally who is to say what is right or wrong at this stage. The article also mentioned that an unnamed club insider has commented that the process is close to completion.

Personally I choose to believe Newts, but I just thought I would put this out there. See, it isn't all doom and gloom.

We can hope... with any luck by Christmass we'll have uncle Milan ensconsed at the Walkers and be one Mike Newell (or any halfways decent manager), Richard Chaplow, Kem Izzet, Russel Hoult and Marcus Bent away from a decent season all round :)

Cheers for the info... as you say thought it's pretty much a matter of waiting and hoping.

What is interesting is that the Telegraph seem to think that there is an AGM tomorrow.

I feel also a little more inclined to believe this than the News of the World for one simple reason...

They mention in their article a 'club insider' who commented that the deal is close to completion. This club insider is unnamed but you only have to look at the previous page to see who it most likely is. I'll give you a clue...he writes for the telegraph every week, is an LCFC board member and scored a lot of goals for us in his day...

none other than Gary Lineker.

21 days is mandatory - as in that is the time within which they have make a decision.

They won't have made a decision prior to getting the formal bid - so they won't have agreed it at the last meeting (and not all shareholders were there, of course). But if they received a fairly complete 'indicative offer' of what the bid was going to be, and the bid is identical, then you would expect most shareholders to have decided. And it can be announced once everyone has committed.

There is an AGM tomorrow, but that has been scheduled for weeks & does not relate to any movement in the takeover situation.

It is a routine AGM, re-appoint auditors, re-elect board members etc.

However there is no doubt that shareholders will be asking for the latest information. When the EGM made the decision to progress with the MM interest, we hoped a copy of a formal offer document would be handed out at the AGM, but that would need to arrive tomorrow and our latest information is that this is unlikely

I hope you are right because otherwise you are going to feel silly.

Radio Leicester are reporting that MM will get the rest of his money from AG this week before he submits his offer to the club, and that LCFC aren't concerned by the news.

I'm sure this has been on the table the whole time. Perhaps the Trust can comment?

right, so the deal is definately off but will go through today...but he has no money so wont make an official bid until the money arrives later in the week

i'm tempted to throw my TV, computer and radio in the bin, not leave my house for at least 3 months as this tug of war with rumours is starting to really annoy me

i wish the whole selling the club process would happen a lot quicker. so we can sort out what players r shit and who we want to keep. i suggest when the takeover is complete; we release/ get rid of:

McCarthy

Maybury

De Vries

J-Lo

Sylla ( wait for a bit though cos he has improved)

Fryatt

Douglas

AJ

People we should try to bring in are:

Stephen Pearson

David Vaughan

Luke Varney

Rene Howe (from Kettering Town, one hell of a talent)
