dandannieldanok Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Try this one for size, MM in, kelly out, Curbishley in with jamie redknapp as his assistant. Curbishley has been quoted saying he wants a new challenge with a championship club. Jamie, although lacks experience, has been coaching with harry at portsmouth and short stints at tottenham. The problem with city is since those most memorable days under the ruling of o'neil, we have never been able to attract a decent manager. For starters, we cannot afford the wages of one and also, we have nothing to offer them other than the 'freebies' on the transfer market. MM is an honest and passionate man who loves the game, if he wants success as much as he say's he does, he'll have to dig a little deeper in those pockets and bring in quite simply the best. Our beloved club lacks direction, it has for too long. Lets all just pray we'll get the same xmas pressie we've been wishing for! Very impressive statement for a new poster on FT, I would be delighted with Curbs-Redknapp at the helm
Foxes_Trust Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Rumour of an emergency board meeting today? On the Fox Fanzine Can anyone confirm this? We were represented at a board meeting today, but that is as much as we can say given the legal processes being followed.
Mort Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 We were represented at a board meeting today, but that is as much as we can say given the legal processes being followed.
Lord Nibblington Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 We were represented at a board meeting today, but that is as much as we can say given the legal processes being followed. Soo... Yes. In other, much simpler words?
Foxes_Trust Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Soo... Yes. In other, much simpler words? It was called at short notice, but that is no surprise given the current situation, the term emergency would be too dramatic.
Mort Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Soo... Yes. In other, much simpler words? That's all you'll get out of the Trust (understandably)... what isn’t understandable is why they feel they need to tell us that something happened but they cant tell us what... actually I suppose we'd be more annoyed if they didn’t tell us coz we'd still be in the dark (but don’t tell them that! ) and we're still annoyed with them for their posturing earlier on in the takeover talks.
Raspeir Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Can we ask whether the meeting was held in reference to footballing or non-footballing matters? (as in, on or off the field) and when we're likley to hear of any further developments in those matters? or rather.. was this meeting called because of a development that we are likley to hear more about/that is likley to take place in the next couple of days? or are we just going to sit here wondering as usual?
FNQ Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 We were represented at a board meeting today, but that is as much as we can say given the legal processes being followed. FFS. This is why you are so thoroughly disliked.
1884 Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 FFS. This is why you are so thoroughly disliked. So the FT are meant to come out and tell you everything confidential at the club? lay off of there back mate
Lord Nibblington Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 It was called at short notice, but that is no surprise given the current situation, the term emergency would be too dramatic. However, generall speaking, board meetings that happen at unscheduled times are called emergency board meetings, as this is the generally accepted terminology. I for one have never heard of a short notice, unsuprising given the situation board meeting. Hey ho.
Foxes_Trust Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 FFS. This is why you are so thoroughly disliked. It was asked if anybody could confirm a meeting took place, we could answer that. The current situation is bound up in legal processes, if we posted any details we would be breaking takeover rules & could damage the entire process.

1884 Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 It's good of the FT to even bother posting on here, so don't try and take the piss out of them and criticise everything they do'say. Just be patient
Mort Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 It's good of the FT to even bother posting on here, so don't try and take the piss out of them and criticise everything they do'say. I think that was pretty much by point earlier, their damned if they do and damned if they don’t, folks on here want to know what’s happening but don’t appreciate the fact that there is only so much that those involved can say... to be frank though, we're still annoyed at the FTs posturing a few weeks back more than anything. A least now we know there’s been a meeting, and that at least means something is going on... what "it" was we don’t know, but what ever it is "its" happened... there, are we happy? ...well?!
Craig Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Double dare you. :w00t: :w00t:

Thracian Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 I've not read the thread very far back so apologies if this has been touched on but ... SILVER FOX posted this on talking balls about what he's been hearing about the takeover: "Not very good things. Can't really elaborate, sorry I shouldn't have said anything. Just tired of seeking people spending Milan's money in their minds. Lets just say we could all yet be disappointed." ===================== I've no idea what Silver Fox is getting at but I just wonder if the alternative of possibly going to Wolves instead of a Leicester in freefall has prompted him to find reasons to back out or to significantly reduce his offer. I can't imagine he'd have calculated for no wins in the last month. Just thinking aloud though. It's not often Silver Fox is far off the heartbeat of what's going on.

There is a lot of scaremongering at present but what is true that Mandaric is a little suprised at the Clubs books, they are not pretty reading. There are some fairly greedy people involved on the LCFC side <_<
