lcfc_jme Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 RL are reporting that DD is now over and the club are just waiting for MM's final offer. Hmm why do I get the feeling we're still weeks away from completion, and that there are going to be even more complications with an already drawn-out, complicated process?

Nothing for it then..I'm afraid we're going to have a mandrican wave
dandannieldanok Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 I don't see why the mercury are kicking up a fuss about the transfer window and that the deal must be done in time for the first. The shareholders must be sure the club will be safe under Mandaric before handing it over. The transfer window is open for a whole month and yes we may miss out on one or two players if the deal takes time. Cre and consideration must be taken.

teblin Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 Surely as he was the "prefered"(only) bid they won't have to think too long. Whether milan can take is forward we already know, is not if it good for the club, it is if its any good for the directors that is the issue.
Mort Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 From the BBC Rumour page... Milan Mandaric has made a final £25m bid to take control of Leicester City. (Various) If true, and we all know it'll be nowhere near £25m, the club better sort it out and accept the damn thing (!)
Leicester Lass Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 MILAN MANDARIC has made a final £25million bid to gain control of Leicester City. The former Portsmouth owner remains committed to the planned buy-out he started in November. But he has reduced the price he is willing to pay to gain a 90 per cent shareholding at the Walkers Stadium after his advisors discovered the club’s debts were much worse than first thought. Mandaric wants his new terms to be accepted within 14 days so he is in control before the transfer window closes. Foxes boss Rob Kelly said: "This is not just about me and wanting to spend money on new players. It would be good for everyone at the club to see the thing sorted out once and for all. "In the meantime, all we can do is concentrate on the real world and prepare to face Southampton on Saturday." http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390000-10151,00.html
Dazed and Confused Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 I think the shareholders know that we either accept or we continue as we have been doing and going bust in 2 to 3 seasons.
ithuriel Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 not only that but if we say no who else is there? we have been shown by all this to be a worse debt ridden club than was made out to be with just a mid table squad at best. if the future was mapped out somebody must have been holding the map upside down
Mort Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 Some have argued that the shareholders should expect to get their money back for their shares... but they got shares in a preimiership club with a half decent squad , those shares are now in a lower end of table Championship club, thats been fighting off relegation for three seasons on the trot while and the quality of the team has declined dramatically... so why on earth should MM pay the same as they did for a much poorer product? Just wondering... either way, can we please have a bit of luck and get this take over sorted and go some way to ending the sorry mess we've been in for the last four years!
Surreal Madrid Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 Some have argued that the shareholders should expect to get their money back for their shares... but they got shares in a preimiership club with a half decent squad , Erm, we were in the championship with some players with salaries so high we could not give them away ( Elliot, Walker, Izzett to name just three ) together with an arrangement to pay the taxman and Vatman some of the debts of the previous regime.. The shareholders, God Bless 'em, took on what in effect was a basket case.

The 6.5 mil was the minimum amount the administrators needed to prevent the club going in to liquidation. Difficult to say what the club is worth, on the face of it, it seems a bargin but we don't know what lurks in the murky depths of the accounts...obviously not too rosey I know for a fact some shareholders are not prepared to take a lower amount than they put in, also others have written off theirs Andrew Tayor put his 250k in at a much later stage, feel sure he will want that back Hopefully they will soon realise that it is likely to be a case of take it or possibly face what us previous shareholders got with out a choice......sod all
He's not bald Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 How the hell has it all come to this? Have they not learned anything from the previous mess We had better pray that this deal goes through or we are in real trouble..seriously!

He's not bald Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 I dont get this at all... most of the papers are saying an offers been made and nadda from either the club or the usual sources (RL or the FT) Unlikely to hear anything now till at least the 3rd Jan so let's just get behind the lads and start 2007 like we mean business

He's not bald Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 Really looking forward to the Sunderland game, their my only real "second team" and for some reason I've never managed to see them play Well you know where your loyalties are!
SilverFox Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 Scumderland are a shower of shite that can't keep one minutes silence. Hate is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel towards them.
Swedging Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 I dont get this at all... most of the papers are saying an offers been made and nadda from either the club or the usual sources (RL or the FT) Mandaric's boys' spinning, I reckon. I'd think it highly unlikely that an offer has been made. As a plc, the club would have to announce it.
Geordie Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 Scumderland are a shower of shite that can't keep one minutes silence. Hate is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel towards them. All instigated by our L1 lads by shouting "Geordie Bastards" at them while they were telling their own comin gup from the concourse to shut up.
Mort Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 Well you know where your loyalties are! Of Course! Hate is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel towards them. Come on! Save it for Derby, Covenrtry or even the Trees... there's much worse out there than the Mackems IMO.
lookwhaticando Posted 29 December 2006 Posted 29 December 2006 I enjoyed watching the antics of Mick 'the optimist' McCarthy's band of village idiots in the Premiership last season.
