Milan Mandaric has targeted leicester!

Pompey: Takes over - a few seasons dodging relegation. Eventually appoints Redknapp - Success. Drives Redknapp out, dodges relegation, forced to sell when staring relegation in the face. A sale that he's failed to complete and one, that if he had not made, would (in my opinion, looking at Pompey's accounts) seen Pompey in administration.

Nice - leaves the club amidst legal turmoil.

Liege - told to clear off after failing to deliver on promises.

Non-football ventures: you could look at Naturewell and Cloudwise.

Pompey did well under Mandaric with Redknapp - poorly at other times.

answer his question please or are you a politician?

Problem is their is shareholders on the board who are probably interested in their own futures they get a salary and would likely refuse a part payment for their shares and as such not reccomend a deal to shareholders, that is where I reckon the potential sticking point lies.

It's a possibility. I'd rather not throw around accusations of greed such as these, but it is quite possible that somebody would rather remain in power - happens in business quite often. ;)

Oh there is a lot of greed in the corridors of LCFC, it'll all be out soon and what Ultra had say

Did you hear the Birch at half time " It's good news for city fans but i'm not yet allowed to say"

Was there another "extranordianary" general meeting? Has the bid been unofically accepted?

Yeah I thought as soon as i heard that that it must be refering to MM's Bid... so finguers crossed, go on Birch be right! Please!

The parking and traffic had cleared up outside the stadium. The only reason he couldn't say is because he wanted the fans to see at the end of the game, duh!

he's going to stop reading the team names out at kick off.

AHA! I have it on excellent authority that the "good news for fans" referred to the fact that there was only another 45 minutes left to suffer.

Listen UP

A final bid has been tabled, the board will now have to take stock of this and organise an EGM bearing in mind they would have to find a suitable time slot for the 40-50 shareholders (which to all purposes would be about a two/ three week time frame).

If or when they accept the final bid the takeover could be actioned.

At best your looking at 21nd JAN or even the Birmingham home game!!...

If accepted, then the NEW board would have time to saction LOAN signings (Loan signings can happen for 7 days after the Jan window shuts).

You Heard it here FIRST.

Id be a bit careful there. I ended up insulting somebody because I said people who come up with news without sources are usually the members who have 20 posts lol:thumbup:

MM has placed his final bid and set a deadline.. Loan deals only real possibility if the bid is accepted.

Indeed a director has resigned, the London legal eagle, but to be honest he is no loss, just another freeloader who has contributed the square root of nothing for about 18 months now.

That's alright then.

The shareholders can vote another one in to replace him at the EGM.

That's not the way others on the board see it.

He also retains a significant shareholding which may well be used (along with others) to block Mandy's bid.

But as he's in Sydney right now the details of why he's a little widdled off with our would-be Serb suitor may not emerge publicly for at least another week.

Seems like this is self-chosen suicide then.

And maybe buy out his 413,000 shares?

There are 2 shareholders on the LCFC board who get paid, the rest don't. The Chairman has been working hard to get new investment and said directly to us when he took the job, he would view it as a success if he was only chairman for a short time as it would mean he had succeeded in attracting fresh investment for the club.

We believe the vast majority of shareholders would accept delayed payment for their shares, so money invested initially was utilised to run the business/strengthen the squad.

However many shareholders would need a level of certainty that they will get paid eventually, the normal process for this is a bank guarantee, whether MM offers this in his final bid will be a crucial factor.
