Mort Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 I have just emailed Tim Davies, telling him of the amazing work he has done and that Milan is the man to take the club on from here. Nice
lookwhaticando Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 I have just emailed Tim Davies, telling him of the amazing work he has done and that Milan is the man to take the club on from here. Don't go giving people ideas, now. I should be admin I reckon Me too... just throwing my hat into the ring for the sake of it. I'm coming for you rick And when you've taken Ric down, I'll take you down as you'll be a soft target. Watch your back, Bab.
Louise Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Don't go giving people ideas, now. Heh, I was waiting for someone to do that actually. I'd never do such a thing. Not when I can just text him.
lookwhaticando Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Heh, I was waiting for someone to do that actually. I'd never do such a thing. Not when I can just text him. You're the boards bedfellow? The poor guy got bombarded a while back (around the time of Levein's exit) - I'm sure he doesn't need that to happen all over again, he's supposed to be busy.
Jamesino_LCFC Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 800th Post Thought I'd put it in the Milan bid thread. I bet it gets deleted now
Swedging Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 800th Post Thought I'd put it in the Milan bid thread. I bet it gets deleted now Does your dad have nothing to say on this? Coz I'm just waiting to take my cue as to where I should stand.
Swedging Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 There can be only four - you have to replace Rick, Cobbo, DavieG or Mark in some underhand manner. Maybe cosmetic surgery, like John Travolta did in that film where he was a bit evil? I think that French woman who had a face transplant has gone off on a run of evil-doing too. But that misses the point. I'm gunning for whoever locked THE thread. Pale substitutes such as this are never satisfying.
Foxes_Trust Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 * Football is a business * Rarely do multi-millionaires buy clubs and throw money at them simply out of love * Mandaric and the board are simply in the process of playing a game * The media is used to manipulate YOU in order to put pressure on the other side * Unless the board or MM categorically state a fact - it remains rumour and conjecture * The whole process will be protracted Summarises exactly what is going on, with MM using the media to get fans all excited. This will run for a few weeks yet, before the best way forward is agreed by the shareholders. Maybe MM should think on that, it's one thing getting the fans via media stories behind him, but that isn't too bright if at the same time you upset the shareholders who will make the decision, some have been described as livid to us this week.

Louise Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 'livid' doesn't sound good. My only concern at the moment is that these Tigers-conspiracy rumours turn out to be incorrect, but I don't suppose you can shed any light on that Foxes Trust?

The Trust is either being used or is complicit in trying to run an anti-Milan agenda to further the Boards position. What effect do you think your comments are having, especially without a clear and concise statement of your position to accompany it? You must be aware of the level of conjecture and guesswork going on here - this post was very irresponsible in the format it was delivered.

Ronald McDonald has made it pretty clear before - to sell the club if anyone wants to take it forward. Is the Mandaric bid the best way of taking the club forward? So far, it seems a massive gamble on our behalf - not his. After all, there are suggestions that Wolves was there if he were prepared to commit - and he didn't. And the FT. They seem caught. Between a desire to inform us, as fans, as the Trust was set up, and between their legal obligations.

No it hasn't, so far the club has said little, MM & £25m is being banded around everywhere & it's simply not true. Swedging is right with "And the FT. They seem caught. Between a desire to inform us, as fans, as the Trust was set up, and between their legal obligations." The current board would probably prefer us not to comment & we are trying to ensure we don't harm any negotiations, but it has been very frustrating watching fellow fans being mis-led, we felt we had to at least make it clear the media figures are not what the current bid is.
Louise Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 We can't state anything about the alternatives at this time. See, this just confuses me. I put 'Tigers-conspiracy rumours' in an attempt to make them sound ridiculous (as I assumed they were) and for you to dismiss them, however citing them as one of 'the alternatives' makes me think that there is some truth in the rumour. And I don't know if I'm reading too much into your answer (being desperate for any news), or if I'm reading what you said correctly, whether you intended to give anything away or not. :pinch:
Daggers Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Tsk. And a bit of research - which I always find helpful. But, for sure, if you've made your mind up, it counts for nothing. Stop trying to insult by using generalities and stop trying to appear clever by alluding to something you have provided no evidence of. You have facts, then cite them and be open. If not, you have nothing to offer.
Daggers Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 ...it has been very frustrating watching fellow fans being mis-led, we felt we had to at least make it clear the media figures are not what the current bid is. To what end?

Lets Be having You Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 lets all calm down,if its going to happen(and i think it will)it will,if it dont, well we carry on supporting this great football Club,at least one thing we know is that board ARE trying to move the club on with some sort of investment. lets just hope though its in the right direction, UP THE CITY,2-0 tomoz
bigneville Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 All we are saying is that as no other interested parties have declared themselves publically, so we can't comment, it wasn't a particular reference to the Tigers. It's good to here there is some interest and we're not forced to selling to MM. At least we have a choice, and we must put our faith in the board to choose the right offer.

Whether the board will recommend one offer to the shareholders or any options will be presented to the shareholders to choose from, we will have to wait & see.
Mort Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 ...we must put our faith in the board to choose the right offer. oh dear...
Benji Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Someone go buy a share and find out what the fk's going on (yer i know nothing about shares so if you can't do that, i'm an idiot )
