Milan Mandaric has targeted leicester!

There are people out there who, I feel sure, already know the answer to what MM intends and are keeping very quiet about it. People who are close to the club. I wonder why.

I also wonder why so little comment which is questioning the MM deal is getting posted on the forum?.

Is it not being posted at all or is it indeed being posted but for some reason not seeing the light of day which would in itself raise a second question.

How independent of the club are Leicester City forums. Do they, for instance, accept free tickets from Leicester City in return for a little "consideration" in respect of what they publish? Or are they free-speaking without fear or favour?

I ask because the lack of questioning, the lack of caution over MM - from almost anyone apart from Ultra, just doesn't quite add up to me. That's not to pre-judge the value, or otherwise, of the deal to Leicester in any way.

I'm just curious.

This is, of course, an excerpt from "My Guide To FoxesTalk" by lwicd. Published on Picador at £11.99 it makes the ideal stocking filler for friends, relations and that special loved one.

I thought it was from my best-seller "All you wanted to know about FoxesTalk but were afraid to ask!" (2006, priced at 24.99 quids)

What a plank I am - I don't even know which book is which any more.

Quick! Reply before this gets deleted!!!

I think people are just generally so dissapointed to be in the position we are in at the moment that ehy cling with excitement to the prospect of loads of cash and new players.

They fail to see what some of us see, the risks and likelihood of the club being taken for a ride, and the fact the Premiership isn't the utopia it is made out to be.

And some of them are about 12 :D

Well I'm pretty sure they're not deleted, besides I've come across a lot of post that are proposing caution and a realistic view re the bid, Swedging, Babylon, Disco, myself and others, I guess they're are lost in the flood of 'snap his hand off posts'.

There's a fair bit posted out there. It just gets buried under the weight of 'Mandaric-at-any-cost' postings.

Haha, marvelous, free tickets eh? Wonder where they are?

No one posting on this forum is party to the precise details - if they were they'd not be posting here in the first place. Anyone claiming to is simply trying to massage their own Walter Mitty ego or sway opinion towards their hidden agenda. Likewise, media releases through third parties...and inferred statements from FoxesTrust...are agenda driven, not factual.

No one in charge of the full facts are going to release them prior to a deal being struck or broken. It is nonsensical to expect them to do so.

I would not be the least bit unhappy with Mandy coming in. We all know he is doing it to make a quickish buck ~ but let's be realistic, in order for him to do that he has to add value to the club. How does he do that? Either he liquidates assets (which is out) or he invests to makes us successful and therefore more valuable.

He offers us a change of culture, something I believe we need in the boardroom.

Intelligence is about making the best decision based on the options available at that moment in time, with no one else in the frame it strikes me that this is a no-brainer. Mandy knows this...therefore what does a board do to increase the purchase per share price? Procrastinate. Act like it is upset about his press releases, about the size of his offer and his appealing to the fan base. It uses its lapdog, the FoxesTrust, to try to swing support away from the bidder. It's all a game.

When I initially heard about the bid I think I jumped around the house like a madman. I think I, like many people, heard the words 'money' 'going' 'into' and 'Leicester' in the same sentence and got rather over excited. Dreams of possible promotion and the holy grail of Premiership football (lets not beat about the bush here, this club cannot survive as it is in the Championship) kind of cloud peoples judgment.

Whatever anyone says about Mandaric he seems at heart to be a football fan. That is more than can be said for these other American investors (if they even exist, and I do have my doubts on that count). What also now appears true is that at the time of the first newspaper report linking Mandaric with the club, Mandaric himself had not clear cut plan to make a bid for us. It was only after letters of support from the fans that his interest became crystallised.

It does not appear to me that Mr Mandaric will shaft the club. He didn't shaft Portsmouth, why is he likely to do it to us? However, I am worried about several things.

1. Will our debt simply be transferred from our current debtors to Mr Mandaric or will Mr Mandaric pay off the debts or will we be going somewhere in between?

2. Ticket prices will almost certainly go up. It'll make the complaints about our current ticket pricing (which I think is fairly decent) look like nothing. Will this have a detrimental effect on our fan-base?

3. Will the management of the club change, or our policy in bringing through good young players from the academy suffer, by us buying in foreign imports?

Providing all the above is satisfactory and the bid is actually a good one, will:

4. The clubs current board F*** it up by fannying around like they are at the moment.

Could a mod explain why Chandlers thread got closed down? I was hoping either he or barton would rise to the challenge and tell us what they think they know.

I didn't see much wrong in the thread really. Also has he been banned again?

there is 2 offers.

one would result in rugby been played at the walkers with the current board remaining.

one would result in football been played in the walkers.

which do you prefer?

Is that for inside info, or just info taken from these boards?

Fancy you raising that cos, funnily enough, I was wondering exactly that myself!

Nowt to do with me, thank god. :D

I don't think there are many Mandaric-at-all-costs posters by the way. It's difficult to put across a specific position on the matter when;

1) We know so little.

2) We're getting accused of ignorance at every turn by people who are not supporting (or feel they

are able to support) their alleged insider information.

3) It often turns into a pro-anti argument when in reality the situation is far more complex than that.

Why don't you post this question to the Admin team in the User Help/Suggestions section?

there is 2 offers.

No there isn't.

You have absolutely nothing to corroborate this statement.

I should be admin I reckon

There can be only four - you have to replace Rick, Cobbo, DavieG or Mark in some underhand manner. Maybe cosmetic surgery, like John Travolta did in that film where he was a bit evil?
