Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Might as well have a worthwhile 1,000th topic Whatcha reckon then? I'm going to have to go away and have a little think about it but my first thought would be Tamacun by Rodrigo y Gabriela.
Janx Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Are we counting "Classical" in this... in which case I will go for Lark Ascending - Ralph Vaughan Williams
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 August 2006 Author Posted 29 August 2006 I realise instrumental song is a bit contradictory but I hate the word "track". I associate it with 55-year-old ex-hippies with ponytails who wear leather waistcoasts (no offence to any 55-year-old ex-hippies with ponytails who wear leather waistcoasts but well, y'know... stop it).
Mark Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 A couple of my favourites. Sigur Ros - Untitled 3. Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand In Mine - listen
davieG Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Nutrocker - B Bumble and the Stingers. Ha, Ha brings back some memories this one, I actually bought the sheet music to this as I couldn't afford the actual record. Try to learn to play it, even took it to school to get the music teacher to play. Another in the same genre was entitled Saturday Night at the Duck Pond. Fez what's with the 1000th topic?
Matt Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Ian Brown - FEAR or Adagio For Strings. There are plenty more but can't a) Think of any of the top of my head and b) Not sure on names of certain songs I am thinking of.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 August 2006 Author Posted 29 August 2006 Fez what's with the 1000th topic? It's the 1,000th topic in Music Discussion? PS Matt - F.E.A.R. has lyrics. Tons of 'em? Or do you mean an instrumental version??
Head Honcho Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Hold the Line - Toto You mean the one that goes; Hold the line, love isn't always on time, oh oh oh Hold the line, love isn't always on time, oh oh oh
dandannieldanok Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Yea the vocals are crap but the instrumental side is very good.

Knighton Matt Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 It's the 1,000th topic in Music Discussion? PS Matt - F.E.A.R. has lyrics. Tons of 'em? Or do you mean an instrumental version?? The UNKLE remix of F.E.A.R is awesome but Ian Brown can clearly be heard saying "you've got the FEAR" repeatedly which surely disqualifies it as you suggested Fez.
stez Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 moby dick - led zeppelin or green onions - booker t and the mg's
Deathside Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 I rather like Misirlou (Despite Black eye peas' best efforts to destroy it) I prefer the Agent Orange version - Although the Dick Dale version is cool too
hairy Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 God Speed You Black Emperor - F#A# or Mogwai - Young Team
