Stearman

As long as the defenders are keeping clean sheets I couldn't give a bollocks what their finals balls into the box are like. That's what Fans Saviour Josh Lowâ„¢ is there for. Stearman isn't exactly Cafu anyway. Kenton has been solid and dependable. He's not really put a foot wrong so far, has played right back, left back and centre back and you criticise his crossing.

Well I hope all three go out on loan, Dodds aside if we get rid of Hammond :D .

Bit of a stupid statement to make RE Low as you've probabley only seen him play about four games, and have only seen Gradel at reserve level.

If I didn't know better I'd say you were being at biast.

I don't remember many people being keen on Levi either. Or COG (though some still aren't).

But for the record I've nothing against Low. I've seen every home game he's played for Leicester, including the one at Hinckley and I've read all that Northampton fans have said about him too.

I don't know how I'd have watched Gradel at anything but reserve level (same as Levi until this season) and I'm not saying Gradel is necessarily better than Low. But he is more exciting, more direct, takes people on more aggressively, will get into the box more and is likely to score more goals.

That's all.

Low will win more headers, probably retain possession more easily, has a rounder temperament and has more experience, particularly at first team level.

If Gradel comes off the bench I can almost guarantee they'll be a bit of a buzz. Depends what you want in a team really.

I think he'd love Sunderland, he seems to spend most of his Saturday nights at a shit club.

Have you ever played football around Sunderland? It's horrible. The pitches seem to be uphill both halves and the wind seems always to be forever biting into your face. So near the Arctic Circle!. And RS is supposed to like his beer but Newcastle Brown Ale? Have you tasted that s..t?

It was a joke about Life and Sunderland both being shit clubs.

I have been to Sunderland. I can't see why anyone would want to go there except to see Leicester go top of the Premiership with a 0-0 draw (them were the days, kind of, except we went top under Taylor without actually playing particularly well).

Let him go for Silly money 2mil + yes + prem bolt - ons....otherwise why breakup a useful team that is actually starting to gel...

He is quite useful but every player has a price.

Because if we were building an Arsenal team in the mode of George Graham it wouldn't be a particular problem.

But because we appear to have a potentially excellent attacking team - with good strikers and good wingers - they are going to need support from attacking full-backs.

Why? Because we don't have a goalkeeper who distributes the ball well, we don't have passers at centre-back and we don't have creativity in midfield.

You might disagree with all that but at least you should understand why I give a bollocks now.

Yep I understand all that but I'd prefer to get a keeper who can kick, a centre-back who can pass and/or a midfielder who can get forward and support the strikers than take one of our best and most consistent defenders out of the team just because he can't cross the ball as well as you'd like. I'd prefer to blame the lack of service to Fryatt on our shite midfield than our solid and dependable right-back.

I think they'll need a bigger cash box.

So out of interest if you had to replace as many players from the starting XI against Southend with better options, what order would you do it in?

Personally it'd go something like this: Johansson, Tiatto, Johnson, McCarthy, Henderson, Hughes, Low, O'Grady, Kenton, Fryatt, Kisnorbo.

Kenton has been one of the few bright spots of our season so far, a point supported by the voting in our Player of the Month poll.

If your going to have a shot at people who can't cross a ball you should be having a dig at the whole team bar Josh Low (and most of his are to close to the keeper) and Danny Tiatto. Yes this includes Levi, I've not seen a good ball put in by him from open play, his set pieces are average at best.

Not that I think we should be crossing the ball much, not really playing to our strengths is it.

Our understanding is that it was a 7 figure bid, but nowhere near a price the club would sell at.

Apparently the outgoing phone line at the Stadium of Light is red hot as they throw bids around to see what they can hook.

Really? I think his corners are excellent.

I'd say I have to agree with you on both accounts really. Long ago were the days we could put a ball into the box PROPERLY from open play and actually pose a big threat in the air. The strikers are pretty short, and it doesn't make sense to try and get them winning aerial balls against bigger, stronger centre-backs. And it becomes harder to win balls in the air anyway if the ball doesn't beat the first defender or it is way too close to the goalkeeper.

Tell them Maybury is still availble...... don't forget to mention the jacket.

You're not serious about that Levi remark are you?. Or have you been missing the matches?

I don't think Levi could have presented an easier chance for a goal than for Hughes second half against Southend. And there was nearly as good for Hume (I think), second half against Ipswich. And for O'Grady against Macclesfield.

Indeed it is hard to remember all the chances City have created which have involved Levi in one way or another.

I wouldn't seriously disagree with that. I might move Henderson a couple of places higher and McCarthy down below Hughes but I wouldn't necessarily want a good advocate in opposition cos there might be easier things to justify.

Gradel, Dodds, perhaps even Chambers, may well attract attention because they are not getting any opportunities here that I'm noticing

Yeah cus they would go up there and get instant first team football.

Get over it.

If you count the bench as first team football I see no reason Gradel and Dodds shouldn't be on it at Sunderland or Leicester. Presumably you do. :(

Missed the Macclesfield game.

He's cross against Southend was alright but one good cross a game isn't enough. Kenton manages that and still comes in for stick from you.

He's creative I'll give you that. Early days.
