Time for the Board to act.

Get Mandaric in.

We're pathetic.

If Mandaric is the answer then it's a damn silly question.

We may as well stay at home and watch the Champions League (although TPH already does this anyway... )

Honestly, the amount of you rolling your eyes!

It'd be nice if once in a while you engaged your brain.

I live in Maidstone. It's where I work. I have certain commitments down here. I suggest that if you want to make a big thing of that then you start it in a different thread.

What is your objection to getting Mandaric in?

Selling the soul of the club - that would be what?

The fans who aren't turning up?

The stadium which is a few years old which we don't own?

The players who have been here oh so long and would give anything for the club?

Don't be silly. We're shite but not that shite. What happened to all this Kisnorbo is 'great', McCarthy's a 'solid player' for this level. Stearman's had a bid for him knocked back from Sunderland. Fryatt on form is a handful for anyone. So is Hume.

Its amazing how fickle fans can be after a short run of bad results. I'm not for one second saying that everythings rosy. I've posted elsewhere saying that its not. But to suggest that NONE of our players is good enough is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard.

You do not keep 4 clean sheets, in any league with a shite defence.

Sorry but I really do not think the senior players at the moment show the necessary quality for this league. maybe just maybe one day they will be but they have shown nothing to convince me this will happen. mcarthy is not a solid player at this level. his disciplinary record is shocking and his passing is awful. Hume is a poor man's Dickov. the truth is that in the last few games the senior pros have been shown up by the likes of Levi porter who has shown more skill, commitment and sheer quality than all the senior pros put together.

I can't believe the board actually sanctioned the funds for Johnson's wages. I could have told them he was going to be a waste of space.

He's 32 and can't get near a Premiership squad. Why, oh frigging why, did anyone think he would give us the solution??? Madness.

Rob, and Board - we've been down this creek before. You know, the one without a paddle that Craig tried to navigate. Well, we're here again, the ship's beginning to sink, and every time Rob's on PremiumTV, we just hear him describing the water.

they probably remembered MoN wanted him 10 years ago..........

It's that time again when we're shouting for them imbiciles that run our club to go. We aren't gonna get an Abramovich, but we need a board who are prepared to invest in players for this club as talk of the play-offs is a joke. The way we are now with these idiots in charge, we will not compete in the Premiership if we got there.

I won't support another club as I love the City, but for a club/city our size we should be competing a little bit better. For those who were against a Mandaric takeover must have been mad.

Why?

What evidence does ANYONE have that Mandaric, who is still chairman of another club, has EVER had an interest in our club?

That's irrelevant.

The club is being run badly and the board should be seriously seeking investment, whether it threatens their prospects of future involvement or not.

To clutch at the name of one individual and dismiss HIM seems to me to be a case of avoiding the point somewhat.

It's gets harder with each manager and each defeat to see where else the buck can stop except with the people at the very top...let's be honest when MON left we all accepted that we would struggle to get someone that good again but none of us expected this many flops. I haven't written off RK completely because i'm a city fan and really want to give him a chance but he needs to show that he's got the bottle to drop players who aren't performing and give those who are hungry a chance...that'll win support from the fans more then sticking with the current crop who just aren't doing it.

If RK doesn't turn things around then I wouldn't trust the current board to bring in another manager!

Great point deffo not!!!! completely clueless

We can't afford to wait for the "perfect" investor. Mandaric seems to be available and people like him don't come along every five minutes. We have to take that "risk".

Grasp at straws night once again " Mandaric seems to be available"

Hasn't left Portsmouth as yet, no certainity of how much money he actually has - it's a vast assumption that he will turn up & throw millions into a transfer pot.

If he comes forward we will request a meeting & are fully prepared with a range of questions to examine his plans, still a big if though

Why so negative? He seemed interested enough to be interviewed about the subject. And if there is a 1% chance that he may be persuaded to come to City, that avenue has to be explored. I don't think that's "clutching at straws". Clutching at straws is carrying on as we are.

We're pathetic.

As for the 'don't sell our soul argument'... what soul do we have left?

We're got a bunch of mercenaries playing in a cr ap JJB kit, playing in a stadium that's not ours, a board of hopeless wa nkers, a supporters trust which has ideas well above it's station and is actually worth fu ck all.... now we've done all that we may as well get Mandaric in and succeed where it matters - on the fu cking pitch.

OUT!

Own £151k's worth of shares, that is not f..all

Grass is always greener etc, it hasn't been for many other clubs who have changed owners.

Perhaps you would be happy if your club had a boardroom where death threats were made prior to a game(a la QPR) or people can buy your club for £3 & rack up further debt while the real owner is never revealed (but was rumoured to be a jailed fraudster. like our close neighbours)

We aren't against a takeover if it's in the long term interests of club, supporters & wider community & the real source of money is openly revealed.

If there is an approach we will meet the interested parties & review their plans (just like we did when 2 consortiums bid to take the club out of administration)

To do this is one of our reasons for existance & a fans organisation would not get this opportunity if a Trust didn't exist, we will have a very important role to play on behalf of fans should any bid materialise

We aren't negative about this option, we are open minded but would want a full understanding of any bidders plans & financial backing.

Some fans seem to think MM would role in with a big fat cheque book, suggest they review Pompey's progress through a number of seasons.

Get you!

You own a bit of a sh it football club which is in a perpetual state of decline - nice one!

Missing the point, again like the current MM story, fans have grabbed onto the get David Wilson to put his millions in for a number of years as the answer

It will never happen, he made his investment & hasn't increased it - we continue to increase ours

Indeed.

They spent THREE seasons battling the drop after he joined them.

It's only because he brought Redknapp on board, and had money to spend when every other club in the league was skint, that Pompey went up.

Neither of those factors would apply in the VERY unlikely event that he did buy us!

But too many armchair experts seem untroubled by the facts..

Look, if you want to spend your days kissing MM's arse, go to Fratton Park.

Leave this board to proper City fans, who actually still care enough to go to games!

I didn't miss the point - I was being sarcastic to make a point of your self-importance.

I give up.

The point wasn't self importance - it was that fans have ploughed more into the clubs shares than David Wilson......or Gary Lineker ... or former chairman John Holmes.

Therefore in shareholding terms we have a bigger say (as in voting %) than they do

I'm not sure if it was your intention in this post... and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time, but really, there is no need to patronise me. I do own shares myself.

completely agree. tonight was one of the worst performances I have ever seen in 35 years following city.

for those against mandaric can they honestly say they wouldn't swap places with Portsmouth at the current time?

I'm fed up with having to stop reading half way through threads just to point out someone elses stupidity.

Myhill made several fantastic saves this evening and Fryatt should of had a fuking hat trick. We were no world beaters but is that actually one of the worst performance you've seen in 35 years? NO NO it's not. It's not even the worst I've seen this season  .

Really? :o

So you actually have a say yourself on who runs the club?

If so, why do you spend so much time incessantly whinging about the powers that be, when you have power to remove them?

Shouldn't you be working WITH the FT instead of trying to diss them?

Sorry, looking back I didn't actually make it very clear. I own shares in a company, but not LCFC.
