l444ry Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Here we go again!!! A mirror image of what happened last year. The Board cannot be allowed to escape the blame this time. They are incapable of dragging this club up from the hole it is in and now Leicester face the abyss. Somebody should be on the phone to Mandaric NOW!!! And if all those who trotted out some lame reasons for not wanting him prefer this shower of sh** there has to be something wrong their grey matter. If City can't get Mandaric I feel we're really doomed this time.......This is, without doubt, the worst Leicester team I've ever seen.
Head Honcho Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 I agree with you to a certain extent but although I'd support a Mandaric takeover he wouldn't be the one I'd plump for first, surely there are more creditable investors out there. Trouble is it'd be like Turkeys voting for Christmas so it ain't going to happen!
lcfc_jme Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 We're even worse now than we were this time last season, and that is saying something. RK has lost the confidence of the players, which is bad in itself. But he has well and truly lost the fans this time, and so have the players too. Desperate times.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 It's that time again when we're shouting for them imbiciles that run our club to go. We aren't gonna get an Abramovich, but we need a board who are prepared to invest in players for this club as talk of the play-offs is a joke. The way we are now with these idiots in charge, we will not compete in the Premiership if we got there. I won't support another club as I love the City, but for a club/city our size we should be competing a little bit better. For those who were against a Mandaric takeover must have been mad. We need some new owners with new ideas, anybody can see that. If this board are City fans they would either put up or shut up.

Trouble is it'd be like Turkeys voting for Christmas so it ain't going to happen! We can't afford to wait for the "perfect" investor. Mandaric seems to be available and people like him don't come along every five minutes. We have to take that "risk".
lcfc_jme Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Risk or no risk, we need an investor to come in, and if that investor is Mandaric, I'm happy for him to come in and try to save us. I've changed my opinion since he declared interest, but events have progressed and got worse since that day.
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Is it time to think along the lines of Coventry? I mean if we get relegated we won't have a club anyway - so why not go down by taking out another loan and bringing in some decent players, our bodge job of a team at the moment just isn't good enough and this time we won't be so lucky as last year. If we fail then at least we tried

London_Fox Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 It's gets harder with each manager and each defeat to see where else the buck can stop except with the people at the very top...let's be honest when MON left we all accepted that we would struggle to get someone that good again but none of us expected this many flops. I haven't written off RK completely because i'm a city fan and really want to give him a chance but he needs to show that he's got the bottle to drop players who aren't performing and give those who are hungry a chance...that'll win support from the fans more then sticking with the current crop who just aren't doing it. If RK doesn't turn things around then I wouldn't trust the current board to bring in another manager!

Maybes Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Why the hell would mandaric want to take City over after the performances this season???!!
Bluefoxtim Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 It is not necessarily 'the worst performace ever seen' The only +ve I can think of though is that at least we did actually try and play football albeit not very well
Ultra Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Enough is enough. We've seen too many performances like this over the past two and a bit seasons. Too many senior players don't give a damn and the management team are too spineless to drop them. Kelly MUST get rid of the deadwood (Johannsson and Johnson in particular) before it's too late.
Mark Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Don't worry.... they're going to be working hard on the training ground. Sounds familiar.

Agree but the dead wood is now a cancer in our club. the simple truth is that there is not one senior player good enough at this level at the club.

Sad but true.. Unless we beat Colchester, we're fcuked. Even then we have to find another two sides worse than us.
The People's Hero Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Get Mandaric in. We're pathetic. As for the 'don't sell our soul argument'... what soul do we have left? We're got a bunch of mercenaries playing in a cr ap JJB kit, playing in a stadium that's not ours, a board of hopeless wa nkers, a supporters trust which has ideas well above it's station and is actually worth fu ck all.... now we've done all that we may as well get Mandaric in and succeed where it matters - on the fu cking pitch. Currently the football is cr ap, the prices are high, we don't own our stadium, results are cr ap and we're going nowhere... and a lot of people are people paid to take us nowhere FAST. OUT!

Don't be silly. We're shite but not that shite. What happened to all this Kisnorbo is 'great', McCarthy's a 'solid player' for this level. Stearman's had a bid for him knocked back from Sunderland. Fryatt on form is a handful for anyone. So is Hume. Its amazing how fickle fans can be after a short run of bad results. I'm not for one second saying that everythings rosy. I've posted elsewhere saying that its not. But to suggest that NONE of our players is good enough is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. You do not keep 4 clean sheets, in any league with a shite defence.

reynard Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 Sad but true.. Unless we beat Colchester, we're fcuked. Even then we have to find another two sides worse than us. i fear the same but if you can't score you can't win. 4 goals in 7 games which is in fact 1 goal in 6 games. questions have to be raised over the managers' decisions both pre season and as the season is taking place. the main thing for me is the players brought in. are any of the 4 of them better than anything we already had/have? the answer is No. low:Sylla not much to chose neither defends well or works had or crosses well or gets to the byline johnson:williams/hughes all inefective except johnson is now obviously past it. kenton: mayburey/stearman maybe better at the moment but not a better right back then maybury. mccauley: any other centre half patently worse as he cant even make the bench. put bluntly what tiny budget we had was wasted by the manager.joey(9 goals) left and he has isolated devries(9 goals) and has not found anyone able to replace theses goals and for that must be held accountable.
Nationwider Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 I can't believe the board actually sanctioned the funds for Johnson's wages. I could have told them he was going to be a waste of space. He's 32 and can't get near a Premiership squad. Why, oh frigging why, did anyone think he would give us the solution??? Madness. Rob, and Board - we've been down this creek before. You know, the one without a paddle that Craig tried to navigate. Well, we're here again, the ship's beginning to sink, and every time Rob's on PremiumTV, we just hear him describing the water.
Simon Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 A short run of bad results? We've been embarrassing for two years. The football has not been great for 2 years. The point was before we were on a losing streak everyone was praising the defence, in particular, to high heaven. Even Low, Porter and O'Grady were getting good reviews. Now suddenly NONE OF THEM are good enough? The two just don't compute.
