DaveyJ Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 From reading various threads on the board, there seems to be a growing number of people who are discontented with Rob Kelly. So how long are people prepared to wait until they definitely want rid of RK?
Ajax Treesdown Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 Saturday 5pm? No, not really. I would have to say till November really and see what the results have been like previous.

Maybes Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 I would personally give him till 15 games then judge him.
lcfc_jme Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 I just find it weird how people are calling for RK out already, we've only played 7 games. Sure 7 points from a possible 21 is poor, but players aren't pulling their weight and putting the work in, and so have to shoulder some of the blame themselves. Give him until 15 games as was suggested until we reconsider his position, because we'd still have 31 to change things around, which is plenty of time.
The People's Hero Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 Let's just sack him now! It'll be a right larf!
C-man Posted 14 September 2006 Posted 14 September 2006 I'd give him to the end of October, which is 15 games. Looking at the fixtures between now and then, we have: Sunderland (A), Colchester (H), Birmingham (A), Southampton (H), Leeds (A), Palace (H), QPR (A) and Stoke (H). They are by no means easy games and I think anything above 19 points after 15 games won't be too bad. Anything less, sack him.
Ric Flair Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I want all of them out though. Getting rid of Kelly is like squeezing one spot on a face that has a million others on. I believe we need a mass destruction of the hierachy at this club, but don't know how to go about it. Mandaric has never been so more appealing.
Janx Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 Let's just sack him now! It'll be a right larf! well its more exciting that losing and just putting up with it isnt it?

Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 Hoooooooooow long has this been going on?
teblin Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 If we are not looking heathier this time next month i think he will be on his last legs.
Strokes Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I wouldn't be too upset if we got rid of him now, but i'm not sure it would rectify the problem. We need players in who can create goals and without money we're gonna struggle to find any.
bald reynard Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I wouldn't sack him - I'd move him - 'upstairs' / 'sideways' - whatever is the best description - to being a COACH (or Assistant Manager) - and appoint a new Manager / Director of Football NOW. Coach / Assistant is what he came as, what he is, what he does best. His lack of experience / knowledge of Club Management is all too apparent. Let him assist someone else - Curbishley or Hoddle, if we could get them (doubtful !) - or someone like Brian Little (I forgive him !).

Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I'm not convinced of his coaching in the slightest.

Yep - sounds about right ! There MUST be others like Keane around - but with Management experience please !
The Don Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 Not sure whether it Keane's influence or not - having the money to get Miller and Kavanagh helps a bit
Janx Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 Not sure whether it Keane's influence or not - having the money to get Miller and Kavanagh helps a bit Had they joined when they played West Brom though? You could tell they were already playing for the new boss...

Head Honcho Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I'm not convinced of his coaching in the slightest. Nor me. Don't forget he was the coach during CL's tenure as manager and there was nothing much to write home about then! I would give him until at least the new year and unless there is a significant improvement he should go. Significant improvement doesn't mean top 6 or anything but top 12 would be nice
Thracian Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I'm not convinced of his coaching in the slightest. Me neither!.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 Me neither!. Two words? I'm worried for your health.
