john_lcfc Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 i cant decide i see him and think yeah some of his play seems decent but i cant help thinking hes a bit too small so im voting for the last option. what are your opinions on our small star
Tommeh Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 I think he's done well and is certainly the best left mid at the club. BUT I went for the last one because he is tiny.
lildave3 Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 As a small guy myself i have to defend levi, he has been our best midfielder this season and is a great winger. Look at other 'small' guys like SWP, he has played for england and moved to chelsea for 24 million. The likes of Paul Dickov and Tony Cottee were not exactly tall but we all loved them, i think we need to back levi as much as possible because he has a lot of potential. I only seen him for the first time when we played against Inter in pre-season and he only came on for a short period of time but still looked promising.
Maybes Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 He is the only player bar fryatt and hume that isn't scared of taking on players and running at them.
lookwhaticando Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 Legend material But right now I think he's great. (I know that won't sit easily with some people)
OBO Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 There needs to be an 'On his way to becoming a really good player' option. I think he looks promising and it's nice to have someone who will have a go at players and who can actually pass the ball. But at the same time I think he looks like he's lacking confidence somewhat, especially against Colchester.
davieG Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 I don't think his size is a major problem, let's not forget he's still very young, only played a handful of games and therefore lacks experience at this level. Is he's going to make it? It is too early to say but what I will say is that he's the only current player I sit up for, in expectation of being entertained when he's got the ball, in the sea of mediocraty that is LCFC that's enough for me at present. Louise Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 None of the above. Not rubbish, not great, not too small to make it, just inexperienced. Unfair to rely on him, and other youngsters, to get us out of this mess.
SystonFox Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 he needs to get the ball into the box quicker, he delayed too much on saturday.
Thracian Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Legend material But right now I think he's great. (I know that won't sit easily with some people) I'm with that. As for size Alan Ball was a World Cup winner - and Levi's got talent!. Best attacker in a City shirt this season by a distance and even on Saturday we'd have won by two or three if anyone had gobbled up the chances he made. The bloke should have had 12 assists this season - enough to have put us in the top six or eight - but we've taken about three.
Master Fox Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I'm sorry but I don't rate him at all. He just another Stevenson. When we get a new manager the next time you'll see him play will be in league 2 (not with Leicester)
Ric Flair Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 None of the above. Not rubbish, not great, not too small to make it, just inexperienced. Unfair to rely on him, and other youngsters, to get us out of this mess. That's my opinion on him. Every time I see him play I pretend it's the first time i've seen him. I'd have to say that 75% of the games he's impressed me and the other 25% has either been average or absolute shite like the last game. I think he's certainly looking useful, I can't see how Tiatto would do a better job.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 That's my opinion on him. Every time I see him play I pretend it's the first time i've seen him. Call me a loopy loo loo but I think Tiatto would add a bit of determination and energy to our side, as well as a half decent set piece delivery, he's been very unsung this season after a shacky first two games he has looked ok and even good at times which is better then 95% of the current first XI, play him left wing and move Porter inside to CM with Weso. According to Thrac this is where he is most usefull. This could work at least until Williams is fit.

According to Thrac this is where he is most usefull. This could work at least until Williams is fit. You're a loopy loo loo. I had to do that. To be honest, it might work. But I'm not sure Porter would be up to the physical battle in central midfield. He got pushed off the ball very easily on Saturday. (Cue 16,000-word essay from Thracian about how Porter looked like Napoleon against Luton Reserves and was playing against two midfielders with physiques like WWE wrestlers - and something completely unrelated about Steve Beaglehole/Alan Sheehan/Max Gradel for good measure.) I'd keep him out wide, would prefer to see Hume there, got a great leap on him and poses more of a goal threat coming forward to pick up loose balls and knockdowns.

Master Fox Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Adding Tiatto to the side would only make things worse
Floating Fox Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Dont think he is great, and I dont think its his size that matters. I think he is good.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Adding Tiatto to the side would only make things worse It can't get much worse, and he been in the side every time we've won.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 It can't get much worse, and he been in the side every time we've won. He's making up for last season. :pinch:
Master Fox Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 It can't get much worse, and he been in the side every time we've won. You're wrong Manwell! When you say every game we've won, the grand total of 2! Wow!!!!!!! He didn't play in the amazing victory against Southend
Ric Flair Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 It can't get much worse, and he been in the side every time we've won. But last season every time he played we didn't win. The 2 games we've won, he went off at half time. Although he had provided the set piece for both goals. He doesn't fill me with optimism, he epitomises what's wrong at this club.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 You're wrong Manwell! When you say every game we've won, the grand total of 2! Wow!!!!!!! He didn't play in the amazing victory against Southend He must be better than Ronaldinho then cos it must take a pretty special player to set up a goal when he's not even playing. Apologies, I could have just said he did play but that would have been too boring.
The People's Hero Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 The lot of you are bloody loopy-loos.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 You're wrong Manwell! When you say every game we've won, the grand total of 2! Wow!!!!!!! He didn't play in the amazing victory against Southend No but he provided the goal. I wouldn't mind seeing him back in the side. RE Southend yes he did he took the corner for the goal
