lcfc_jme Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Akinbiyi McLeod Mornar () **A top quality player that plays in a Premiership reserve side**
bald reynard Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 SEE THE 'SEARCH FOR NEW STRIKER' THREAD ! According to that, it's all sorted - PAUL GALLAC(G)HER from Blackburn is 'on his way' - he's even turned up at Belvoir Drive (apparently ?!) !
Thracian Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Arthur Rowley Great avatar - pity he can't turn back the clock and solve our right wing problem cos he was a proper winger.
lookwhaticando Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Save the money on the loan and put it aside as cash for a pay-as-you-play deal for Piper. If we really do need an extra striker, why not just drag Dodds back after tonights game?
Ultra Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 Save the money on the loan and put it aside as cash for a pay-as-you-play deal for Piper. It will have earned quite a bit of interest by the time he's ready to play again!
lookwhaticando Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 It will have earned quite a bit of interest by the time he's ready to play again! Everyone's a winner!
Ultra Posted 10 October 2006 Posted 10 October 2006 From the Blackburn website: Name: Paul GallagherNationality: Scottish Date of Birth: 09/08/1984 Height: 6' 1" (185cm) Weight: 11st 0lbs (70.0kg) Previous Clubs: Stoke City (loan) Position: Striker Born in Glasgow, but very much a local lad of Blackburn. Worked his way through the ranks of the Academy and Reserves to break into the Rovers first team squad. Spent a successful 2005/06 season on loan with Championship side Stoke City where the Scottish under 21 international finished top scorer for the Potters with twelve goals. Returned to Rovers for the final game of the season against Manchester City. Seems like he could do a job for us..
Janx Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 It may seem impossible, but Freddy Eastwood. IM surprised you could even be bothered typing that... <_<
The People's Hero Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 We're more likely to get Clint Eastwood. Actually, let's get Clint Eastwood and Freddy Prince Junior.

Maybes Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 From the Blackburn website: Seems like he could do a job for us.. Yeah he did well for stoke last season.
Janx Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Yeah he did well for stoke last season. I would take 12 goals!!
Foxello Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Hi i'm new to this site. Personally i think we should go after Danny Webber of Sheff Utd. He's quick, scores goals and is out of favour at Bramall Lane.
Stevosevic Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 I would take 12 goals!! definetely, Fryatt and Hume wont score them. They both average one every ten games at the moment, Fryatt does anyway.
Thracian Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Seems ironic to be going for a 6ft 1ins 11-stone striker who gets 12 goals in a season when we're loaning out a striker of about the same height and weight I'd imagine who's scored over 60 goals at 20+ a season. And Kelly describing him as the most natural finisher we've got. I don't think one goal every four games is anything special for a striker and one so far this season in six. 23-08-2006 English Premier Blackburn 1-1 Everton 0 27-08-2006 English Premier Blackburn 0-2 Chelsea 0 14-09-2006 UEFA Cup SV Salzburg 2-2 Blackburn 0 17-09-2006 English Premier Blackburn 4-2 Man City 1 23-09-2006 English Premier Middlesbro 0-1 Blackburn 0 28-09-2006 UEFA Cup Blackburn 2-0 SV Salzburg 0 Goals: 1 Yellow cards: 0 Red Cards: 0. Still I wait to be convinced.

Seen it happen with too many clubs and we dont need a flash in the pan.

You clown Goals are goals and Dodds couldn't score em at any higher level cos he's not picked same as Logan couldn't have saved em at any higher level until recently. Like I say, Dodds scores at a proper striker's rate and PG scores a goal every 3.5/4 games which is nothing special for a striker.
