Foxello Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 I've heard from 2 journalist mates now (so COULD be true !) that both Andy Welsh and Paul Gallagher WILL be signed in time for the Saints game. Both are in Leicester today (Thurs pm) - if can't complete the formalities by 5.00 pm, they and the Club expect to complete signing tomorrow morning. Great news especially Gallagher. I've always rated him and it will be great to see him in a City shirt. Welsh did do well for us last season but how will he get in ahead of Porter? Maybe play him on the right? Good to know we do have SOME money albeit limited .

Strange how being faced with falling attendances and the possible prospect of relegation can force your hand a little.
Filbert_Ross Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Welsh is also capable of scoring from midfield, something that hasnt happened this season, even Levi porter like when he ran from the half way line with the ball towards a empty goal
Foxello Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Strange how being faced with falling attendances and the possible prospect of relegation can force your hand a little. Shame they did not do at it at the start of the season then we probably would not be in the mess we are now <_<
davieG Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 I presume we're spending the proceeds from the Villa game?
davieG Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 If they are to be available for tomorrow don't we have to sign these players before midday? Cutting it fine
Dr The Singh Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 If they are to be available for tomorrow don't we have to sign these players before midday? Cutting it fine The OS, are always slow in releasing info, who knows, they probably already have signed!!!

Fox in a Box Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Yeah I think so. Looks like both won't be in in time. Ive said before sunderland/blackurn are a distance and they have only got a push bike between them and ANDY is giving GALLY a CROGGY
Dr The Singh Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Anything happenned with this yet? No, still waiting for news, looks like they will not be available for tommorow, if they sign!!
Foxello Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 No, still waiting for news, looks like they will not be available for tommorow, if they sign!! Oh Ballacks we could have done with them, especially Gallagher. But look on the bright side, we've got Elvis I'm all shook up just thinking about it
GianEmmo Zola Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 will be 2 good signings, Welsh come in on the left so it frees porter into his normal role holding midfielder, picking the ball up and passing it, he will never be a winger, gallacher is a good player, i think he could do well for us, so the side for saturday then -------------Logan------------- Maybs--Paddy--Mcauley--Nils -------------Porter------------- Weso-----Williams------Welsh ------Gallacher--Elvis---------

FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 And Kenton! And neither has actually signed! And there has been no official word on Gallagher! But apart from that..........................
Knighton Matt Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Porter would get killed as a holding midfielder, especially with Nancy Boy Williams as his "support".
Knighton Matt Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Lay off Williams, you fiend! Mmm, can I lay on him? He's so dreamy.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 No Loans in, we're getting dicked tomorrow.
Joe. Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 There's still time. I'm surpried though that nothing has happened yet today about it...
lookwhaticando Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 There's still time. I'm surpried though that nothing has happened yet today about it... Don't think we could play them tomorrow though, even if they do sign today. Still, don't we have a game on Tuesday they could be useful for?
Fox in a Box Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Lay off Williams, you fiend! I agree one of the best 'footballers' at the club and a nice guy too
