Knighton Matt Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 I agree one of the best 'footballers' at the club and a nice guy too 'footballers'?
Fox in a Box Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 'footballers'? yes FOOT B A L L are you thick... you just dont like him as hes an ex Trickey Tree....... Williams is our hero Williams is our hero la la la la
Filbert_Ross Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Willaims looks like he dont wanna know half the time.
Ultra Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 I don't care where he may have been in the past. All I know is that most of the time he's been with us he's been dire. As was said of Michael Carrick this week, Williams is often so laid back he uses the ball as a pillow!
Thracian Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Williams seems to be like Tiatto. He spends half his time injured. Which is not much use to anyone.
davieG Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 From tonights Mockery Looks like he tried for a permanent deal for Welsh in the summer. Leicester City are trying to get Sunderland winger Andy Welsh on loan in time to face Southampton at the Walkers Stadium tomorrow. The attacker, who had a two-month loan period here at the end of last season, is out of favour at the Stadium of Light. City boss Robert Kelly, who tried to get Welsh in the summer, hopes he will land him this time. Kelly said: "I wanted him in the close season but we just couldn't do it. He had just signed a new contract. "He is one of a couple we are looking at who, if we manage to do everything, would be available for tomorrow. But there is a lot of work to be done between now and then." Sunderland, who have also made striker Jon Stead available on loan with several clubs interested, are hoping the Welsh move leads to a permanent arrangement, but City are unlikely to be able to afford that. Any new arrival, or arrivals, would probably go straight into the side to face the Saints tomorrow as City aim to follow up their impressive 1-1 away draw against a strong Birmingham City side. They will hope the two-week international break will not have had too much of an effect in dimming that memory. In contrast, the Saints are hoping to have used the break to re-group so they can bounce back from a home defeat to John Gregory's QPR and Kelly said: "This is going to be a good game for us. "They are a strong side who are going to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. "We seem to have sorted ourselves out defensively and now we want to improve our scoring and our home results, which are so important. "Proving hard to beat has been a team effort and so is scoring goals. That is the thing we have been working on very hard." City expect to have Stephen Hughes and Gareth Williams available after injury.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 I don't care where he may have been in the past. All I know is that most of the time he's been with us he's been dire. As was said of Michael Carrick this week, Williams is often so laid back he uses the ball as a pillow! Well I reckon he is the one bloke at the football club who can play the game. Shame he can never bo arsed to do it.
escape2victory Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 It also says on there that Sunderland hope the loan move becomes permanant. Will be a welcome addition to the squad in my opinion. What evidence is there to actually suggest Gallagher is the other loanee coming in ?! because I havnt heard anything official about Gallagher
SystonFox Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 these still havent gone through yet have they? i hope they hurry up and they can play a part tomorrow be it on the bench or starting.
Tubes Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 -Checks Time- what time do they have to sign by to be able to play tomorrow?
Brummie-FOX Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 what time do they have to sign by to be able to play tomorrow? Im not too sure but reading what was messaged on here earlier, i think it is suppose to be 12:00. Or maybe 24 hours before there next game which would be 3:00. Still very much doubt they'd play tomorrow
Knighton Matt Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 yes FOOT B A L L are you thick... you just dont like him as hes an ex Trickey Tree....... Williams is our hero Williams is our hero la la la la I think you might well be the most stupid person I've never met.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 I think you might well be the most stupid person I've never met. Be carefull, he might issue hollow threats of physical violence.

We need them soon if we're actually ever going to get them!
Ultra Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Well I reckon he is the one bloke at the football club who can play the game. Shame he can never bo arsed to do it. Weso and Porter have shown potential. Time will tell whether they'll develop it with us though. Oh, and Kenton, McCarthy and Kisnorbo look pretty useful as well.

Ultra Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 Let's not forget McAuley in all this. He's only played 4 games fior us. The jury's still out on him..
The People's Hero Posted 13 October 2006 Posted 13 October 2006 I'm clutching at straws here and it's not meant to completely excuse the guy but I just get the impression that Williams plays when he wants to. He plays (probably) when he sees what the manager is trying to do and understands his role in all of that. Being in and out of the side in a team where the manager clearly doesn't know what he wants from any individual midfielder (and I include the reign of Levein and Kelly in that) cannot help him. Still, we'll see.

Totally agree. Looks like a player who thinks he is head and shoulders above the rest so he doesn't need to put the work in. He needs a reality check and maybe it is time to bring him back as he can surely see that he isn't the first name on the team-sheet.

I'd love to see him perform to the standard he is capable of, but as things currently stand (positionally in terms of the league and tactically) I can't see it happening. Injuries are not the only problem. He is poorly motivated and, as you say, and I have said somewhere else, he is just one of many players who has fallen victim to his own ego.

Oh, and Kenton, McCarthy and Kisnorbo look pretty useful as well. I mean the creative side, the bit where we actually have the ball. I know it doesn't happen often. Kenton and Kisnorbo can defend, defense spilting passes are hardly their area is it. Mcarthy is ovvverrr ratteedddd!!!!
Bert Posted 14 October 2006 Posted 14 October 2006 Pm is good but not as good as people make out, they like him as he shows a bit of passion. Me and my mates had a discussion about which of our current players could make it in the premiership now and i was the only one that said McCarthy wouldn't, there is a reason why we brought him for 50k. (The players i said were - Kisnorbo, Stearman, Weso Willaims and Hume)

Hume - yes if he had a kick up the arse You doubt Fryatt would make it in the Prem then?? Surely you only forgot to mention Nils?!? I mean, he's gota be Premiership class right??
