Thracian Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 wweeeyyy ha ha Its BEAUTIFUL reading Especially as many people were so pessimistic about the games from Birmingham through to Crystal Palace. Just shows. We've got no-one to fear, home or away, providing we play to our strengths and concentrate for 90 minutes.
SystonFox Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 We're gonna batter his lot too. currently 13th and if we do batter them lot we could be well in top half come saturday 5pm. come on!!! its all going good again
Thracian Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 To me it wasn't just winning but the way we went about winning that mattered.
MONreborn Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 Can see a big crowd on saturday, if we win then the confidence will ooooze back in to this club. Don't mess it up not lads, lets get in the top half and stay there!

Don't mess it up not lads, lets get in the top half and stay there! By staying positive and scoring goals. We've conceded four goals in our last three games - the usual average in reality. But because we've scored six we've collected seven points and hauled ourselves up the table. And suddenly people are starting to feel optimistic and excited again. Let's hope we've learned and that we don't start treading water and compromising ourselves again.

AyewJoking Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 Well done lads! Still, a point at home versus Palace will satisfy me. I think our last 2 wins will force Palace to change the way they approach the game. Normally they'd expect 3 points at the Walkers but now they might sit back and try to frustrate us. After all, they ARE managed by a genius tactician. But for the next few days, lets bask in the glory!
Ultra Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 I'd be happy to see the run stretch for a while longer. But injuries are beginning to take their toll. At this rate we'll have to put the Academy lads in against Villa!

OzFox311 Posted 18 October 2006 Posted 18 October 2006 I'm with Thracian, it wasn't so much us not winning, it was the side winning without any real passion or pride.... Past 2 matches, THE SPIRIT OF LEICESTER IS BACK... :D Here's hoping it can continue, I never said anything bad about Kelly because he has always done a good job and I prefer him to Levein any day of the week, it was more a matter of the players playing with pride. Now they are, I am happy and here's to us heading upward and onward for the rest of the season...
Bert Posted 18 October 2006 Posted 18 October 2006 wweeeyyy ha ha Its BEAUTIFUL reading Well why don't you fock of there then.
MONreborn Posted 18 October 2006 Posted 18 October 2006 We are an evolving side with an evolving manager. Yes the players will make mistakes Yes the manager will make mistakes However, over the next few seasons these mistakes will become less and less frequent and with the addition off a 2/3 quality players each season and sensible dealings in regards to selling players then there is no reason why we cannot be a real contender in this league. Just look at Plymouth and Burnley.
lookwhaticando Posted 18 October 2006 Posted 18 October 2006 To me it wasn't just winning but the way we went about winning that mattered. Now I understand what's got you so happy this evening. where's that website gone that we all masturbated over during kelly's honeymoon period where it showed us top of the form league for a while? Possibly this one? 8 game form guide. This one? (6 game) There's quite a few form guides... just google 'Championship form table' or 'football form table' and take your pick. The ITV one is quite good - you can look at all kinds of tables - last 8 games, last 5 home or away etc... Well done lads! I won't be happy with a point. I want all 3. I'm greedy. I want us to give Palace a battering they won't forget in a hurry. Especially for Taylor.
lookwhaticando Posted 18 October 2006 Posted 18 October 2006 Well why don't you fock of there then.
I_miss_wembley_finals Posted 18 October 2006 Posted 18 October 2006 Especially as many people were so pessimistic about the games from Birmingham through to Crystal Palace. Just shows. We've got no-one to fear, home or away, providing we play to our strengths and concentrate for 90 minutes. Spot on! I was personally very pessimistic, but this run is not only a reflection of Leicester City, but the championship, the only team to show a consistent run of form really is Cardiff, and their position reflects that. Its so hard not to get too excited at the record, but we have to bear in mind only 2 games ago 3 draws on the bounce was starting to look very boring. At least we are now more attacking and scoring goals, that breeds belief, just can't get ahead of ourselves. Don't want to put a dampner on last night but conceding that goal was not the best way to play out the final few minutes, against 10 men and all, just don't want people to forget how close we came to another point with Stearman's clearences etc, its good, and certainly improving, lets just not get too excited just yet!

We've got no-one to fear, home or away, providing we play to our strengths and concentrate for 90 minutes. I still think we will struggle to win games away from home, I fancied us to win last night, but it was more to do with Leeds failings and the win against Southampton than our fantastic players. Still I think the remaining league games this month are all winnable, QPR are even worse than Leeds although granted not in quite as bad form, Palace I'd normally be a bit concerned about but I can't imagine us losing to a Peter Taylor side my brain refuses to believe it's a possibility, and Stoke are a team we should be beating at home.

And anything against Villa would be a bonus that would boost confidence even more. Agree about the players in the first paragraph, especially after seeing the player ratings from people who went to the game.

Agreed, Leeds were awful!!! There will be tougher opposition away from home, but I will enjoy the feel good factor as it lasts!! I can see us beating palace, they are going througha bad patch but Stoke have uundertaken abit of a revival, Hendrie has lifted the team, they will be comming to city with confidence!!!
