New Deal For Logan Leicester City goalkeeper Conrad Logan has today signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with the club. Logan made his breakthrough into the first team at the start of the 2006-07 campaign - originally playing in the Carling Cup matches against Macclesfield and Hereford before making his league debut in the 0-0 draw with Colchester in September. The 20-year-old has made 15 senior appearances to date - and the form that he has shown in those games has led to manager Rob Kelly offering the Irishman extended terms. Logan joined the City youth set up in 2000 after bering spotted by a scout playing for Swilly Rovers in his native Ireland. He went on to sign pro-forms with Leicester in 2003 and signed a one-year extension to his original deal at the start of the 2006-07 campaign. Good news to see him signed on, he could become a good player for us for years to come if he keeps improving and stays. And as ric says, hopefully levi won't be far from signing an extension.

To be honest mate, I typed it out and posted without the guff in brackets and then read it back and thought it was too good an opportunity to not present it. Levi deserves a new contract, I hope he presses on and gets better. He's our best attacking outlet from midfield at the minute.

Long way for him to go yet, but I am confident he's got a good amount to offer us.

Good move by the club and management - hopefully he'll have a long and successful stint with us. It's been a while since an academy goalkeeper progressed up the ranks to the senior team, shows how highly people rate Logan.
