Mr Sarcastic UK :P

However I agree with your sarcasm, also I hate it when people take the easy route and say I think he's crap but I hope he proves me wrong blaaah.

Excuse me?? Are you missing something here.

Fryatt hasn't scored since sunderland away.

Hume hasn't scored for a while.

O'Grady well he rarely scores and I dont rate him at all.

Yeah you really should sleep.

T'were sarcasm. lol

Twere drivel!

Maybes was clearly being sarcastic (in a weird kind of way, weren't you :P )

Lee Dixon is an expert.

Would Hume, Fryatt, Hammond or O'Grady have "swung" it like that?

I think they would have blasted it as hard as possible and hoped for the best.

I agree, does an impressive substitute appearance warrant a starting place for the next game?

Surely not considering all our strikers are finding the net so frequently.

No but Dodds might. That was a classic Dodds type goal.

The thing about Cadamarteri is he seems to have a football brain and he's a team player.

But whether he starts is not the uppermost question in my mind.

What I'd be asking is how long Kelly is going to put up with two barren strikers?

Despite all the good things today - and, indeed, some good general play from our strikers, the fact is that both drew blanks again.

Hume's still mustered eight goals from 23 games - one goal in three - which remains not a bad average and is helped by the fact that, despite one appalling miss, I thought he did much to help our play flow today.

Fryatt has scored two goals in 13. He's missed some belting chances lately. Yet, time and again he gets another chance. Time and again Dodds stays on the sidelines. Why? Fryatt does little that I see to link play. He's an individual. As such his only purpose is simple - scoring goals.

People say it is a different level of football but I simply cannot imagine Dodds notching a mere two goals in 13 games whether he was playing for Leicester City, Kirby Muxloe or England.

I'm not saying Fryatt should drop out of the picture. Hell it's been hard enough getting him fit and fired up again. But Dodds should get his chance providing he's in condition to do himself justice. And I don't mean some token 10 minutes.

We can't go on expecting our centre-backs and substittutes to score our goals.

Bottom line: If we'd only seen MDV play about two games and one of them was the Tottenham game, we'd all be saying he was fantastic and should play more.

I'd give it a few games before you start sticking your willies up Cadamarteri's bum, tbh. There's a REASON he was playing for Grays.

Maybe, but cads, shown alot more class than de vries ever would, didn't he msiss about 6 chances before he actually scored?

Great..that's sorted then..10 more players to go and wev'e got ourselves a team!

Shame we can't play him in all eleven positions after that performance! lol

He scored a goal. Frankly before he scored it I was thinking we'd probably have been better leaving Hume on, and I dunno if Kelly would have taken him off AFTER Fulham's second goal. As it goes, he played well, but good players are about consistancy, and he's not had the chance to show that.

I hope all you people that frowned upon his arrival are going to eat some of your words.

Firstly an assist and then the equalising goal. What more can you ask for? He may not be a saint but he's let his football do the talking today and has done really well.

It's hard enough coming into the game as a sub anyway, but imo he made a massive impact.

Well done Danny C.

a great finish a quite possibly the best cross in 3 years for the 1st goal

Yes the reason is he was banned and had gone off the rails. Most of MON's signings of quality were players that bigger clubs daren't touch, e.g. Clarridge ( serious gambler) Elliott ( drinker and heavy smoker) Marshall ( see Elliott) Collymore ( need l say) . Even a proper legend Frank Wortho failed a medical at Anfield because of blood pressure presumably after a heavy night!

Fact is our club has always, and, even with Milan's cash will always have to go for someone with a flaw that other clubs think twice on. That's why at clubs of our size it's all about having a quality manager who can pick these people out.

You have a point. Sam Allardyce has it down to an art with Bolton, and look where they are.

Indeed. When you hear fans talking about the great legends of the club it is often about the Claridge's, the Walsh's, the Worthington's and others like Marshall and Derek Dougan.

A great test of a manager is whether he can get the talented wacko's on board. I imagine anyone can deal with the Simon Grayson's and the Paul Henderson's but getting the likes of Collymore and Cadamarteri to do themselves justice requires something special.

Never make too many rules always seems sensible. The minute you make rules you have to apply them and individuals/personality players just find it impossible to resist testing the boundaries of any rules.

I'm sure a psychology student could forward some interesting theories as to why.

But, whatever the reasons, Claridge, Walsh, Collymore, Worthington were among my favourite players in a City shirt. And remembering that is is one of the big reasons I hope Cadamarteri finally comes good.

But Cad might realise he's in what is probably the last chance saloon and be a relatively easy and positive guy to handle. I just hope Kelly proves himself capable of coping with other, perhaps more contentious individuals.

The game needs characters and so does our club.

Agree with most of that except the Milan bit!

I don't think Milan is the type of chairman who's going to gamble on players, he seems too organised for that and with his vast network of footballing contacts I doubt he'd need to.

I may however be completely wrong :P

You could say, metaphorically, that we pulled em both off the car park. :D:D

Anyway I'm delighted Collymore's been mentioned. It always gives me a good excuse to remember that marvellous hat-trick he scored against Sunderland - arguably the finest single performance by a Leicester City player I've ever seen.

I hold my hands up, I was't happy when he came, but now, having seen him play a couple of times, he could be a bit of use, well done DC and RK!

I'd possibly change "we've got" to "Danny" but you're onto a winner there mate.

Actually, "we've got" is better.

 Top effort.

Can see that one being used a lot.

Unless of course he sits on his fat arse most matches or gets caught with more coke than a columbian drug lord and ends up in prison.

Like that

Although john_lcfc's effort for Levi Porter is my favourite. (See Colchester thread)

Think he got confused when he heard the football league was sponsored by coke.

He's probably wondering why he hasn't had his first freebie batch yet.

Allegedly.
