lcfc_jme Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Accord to the BBC version heavy snow on Saturday as well Here Could you be so kind as to find the forecast for Ipswich for the next couple of days please?!
lookwhaticando Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 It's definitely the right website it's just that so many people wish to see tomorrows weather forecast in the hope that they will be getting snow it slowed the server right down... Much like FoxesTalk on a Saturday afternoon... "Web site unavailable The Met Office web site is currently experiencing a high level of demand from visitors to the site. We are sorry for any inconvenience, please try again." I may be unwell, but I did understand the concept. 10-15cm possible in areas across the Midlands. That's pretty impressive really. You'll do well to have that much on the ground -that's about all I've got at the minute. :pinch:
davieG Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Could you be so kind as to find the forecast for Ipswich for the next couple of days please?! Do it yourself you lazy beggar, bottom left hand corner type in I p s w i c h.

You'll do well to have that much on the ground -that's about all I've got at the minute. :pinch: Sorry! I just thought I'd clarify it anyway seeing as you weren't well incase your brain wasn't functioning as well as it should be. 10-15cm is fine by me - it'll definitely see me looking out the window, smiling and going back to bed as opposed to going for another early start at college. --------------------------- Do it yourself you lazy beggar, bottom left hand corner type in I p s w i c h. Why? What's wrong with your own eyes/hands? Fine I'll do it! People of FoxesTalk aren't in a very generous mood today!
lookwhaticando Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Do it yourself you lazy beggar, bottom left hand corner type in I p s w i c h. Bottom right, surely?

Simi Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 We want snow and lots of it please! Then school might be closed tomorrow... I'm still getting my hopes up you never know... We were pre-warned today that if it snows alot then school will be off. The teachers said it as if we were distraught about it . I don't think it will be bad enough to shut the college down but let's hope so
davieG Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Bottom right, surely? I didn't want to make it too easy for the lazy git

I don't think it will be bad enough to shut the college down but let's hope so One of the teachers said they needed around 2 inches for college to be closed. That's just because of buses not being able to get there. I'll be listening eagerly to the radio tomorrow morning! Don't think I've ever had a snow day before...
The People's Hero Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Mine too. Probably. It Overheated so I dumped it half way to work. Guess I will find out on the way home! Aren't we the incompentent car maintenece idiots. Anti Freeze what? Doh! I was going to top my screen wash and all that jazz up last night when basically I got distracted by a phonecall from a chap who I might be renting a property from. I never did and when I remembered, it was really cold so I didn't want to go outside. I did it this morning. Then figured out something was wrong when my engine temperature shot up, it was making funny noises and my screenwasher wouldn't work (bear in mind I'd barely removed any ice from my windscreen and it was filthy anyway). I got to work though by putting the hot air on full and opening all my windows.
JoeyB Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 i would actually laugh if we didnt get any snow! this snowstorm has had more hype than the milan takeover deal tbh
Joe. Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 i would actually laugh if we didnt get any snow! this snowstorm has had more hype than the milan takeover deal tbh No you wouldn't you'd be gutted because that would mean there is no chance of school being closed. Duh.
JoeyB Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 No you wouldn't you'd be gutted because that would mean there is no chance of school being closed. Duh. i'm loveing school atm out of 16 lessons ive had 4 so i'm quite content playing a load of football
Bluefoxtim Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 One of the teachers said they needed around 2 inches for college to be closed. That's just because of buses not being able to get there. I'll be listening eagerly to the radio tomorrow morning! Don't think I've ever had a snow day before... I've had one and a half. One time the school heater froze so we were turned away at the gates. The other time the school literally next door was shut, but we remained open. Half the school didn't turn up and we were forced to stay at school despite having about 6 people in each class. By the time school had finished all the snow had melted.
