Nationwider Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 About an inch has fallen at my house tonight...mwahaha! Except I've got to drive in it at 5.15am tomorrow.
cisono Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 RUBBISH I need to get from Loughborough to Nottingham around 4pm and then only have 50 mins to get myself back to Leicester around 7:15pm. NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!
Flynny Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 Hopefully it'll be a foot deep and shut everything down. It'd be like a film, where people are forced out of the rat race for a day and come to appriciate the joys of winter beauty with a stranger who they get stuck on a bus with and then fall in love with in a day. what

placidcasual Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 We have just had 3 inches of snow and it is still coming down. Which is all well and good until the Ohio Department of Transport neglects to salt the roads. Not very clever. Temperature on Monday was -8F with wind chill. Not been the best week weatherwise.

Trumpet Posted 7 February 2007 Author Posted 7 February 2007 it'll have thawed by then me duck Actually... It will snow through rush hour and until anything like tea time, but instead of doing what it normally does, turn to rain - itll just fade out. It may slightly thaw in places but id expect it to be frozen over Thursday night. Could be looking at anything up to 7 inches
Lord Nibblington Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Go snow! You snow enough so I get the next 2 days of work, and start my holiday early!

The People's Hero Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 I think my car radiator is fu cked. Stupid cold weather
Lord Nibblington Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 That's it. You blame the weather. What did it ever do to you, eh?
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Met offices saying 5-7 inches for the midlands apparently, starting at 9am, which is about as much use to me as Syphilis.
Ric Flair Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 I've done some research and by tomorrow morning we could be looking at 15 cm, but then it's said it could snow all tomorrow, which might but the betty up to about 162 inches. I think it's the end for us.

Ric Flair Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 Ric, I think I covered the 15cm thing when I said 7 inches But you missed my complete lie of 162 inches by Thursday night.

Sounds like the DOT let their eye off the ball down at your end. . Whoops. Wonder if we were affected by the same system? We had a frigid Monday morning too... wind chill was down at about -25F or so. Probably not, thinking about it... that'd be one huge weather system to be fair.
lcfc_jme Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 The forecast for us is heavy snow all day tomorrow. I personally hope we have all the heavy snow tonight so I won't have to go to college.

lcfc_jme Posted 7 February 2007 Posted 7 February 2007 It's so heavy the website's not responding. It's definitely the right website it's just that so many people wish to see tomorrows weather forecast in the hope that they will be getting snow it slowed the server right down... Much like FoxesTalk on a Saturday afternoon... "Web site unavailable The Met Office web site is currently experiencing a high level of demand from visitors to the site.
