Italy take top spot from Brazil

Italy have usurped Brazil at the top of the Fifa world rankings.

The world champions have claimed pole position for the first time since 1993, with Brazil slipping to second after more than four years at number one.

There is no other movement in the top eight with England staying in sixth behind Argentina, France and Germany.

Scotland are up six places to 20th, the Republic of Ireland have jumped three places ahead of Northern Ireland to 46th spot, with Wales ranked at 75.

That's a joke. Only 'cos you boys gifted the jammy nobbers a win at Windsor.

Tbh that it is a joke. Should go: Eire, Wales, Scotland, NI. How do they work out these rankings?

Dunno, it had a revamp recently, beforehand it went on recent results as well as past ones without regarding the quality of the teams beaten, so USA were always in the top 10 cause they beat the likes of Nicaragua every season.

Very odd indeed, germany are no where near 5th best!!! But it's good to see Punjab getting it's rightful place at 69, some might say it's one of the best positions to be in!!

Oh get over it. Germany are among the best teams in the world, and they proved it yet again at the WC. England hardly justify their 6th place though.

How the fook are we 6th??!!!:dunno:

There's no way we're better than Holland, Portugal, Czech Republic or Spain.

To be fair, Spain have been awful since the WC...
