Manwell Pablo Posted 30 March 2007 Author Posted 30 March 2007 I don't want to lose anyone. We'll need standby's and some support too. Ideally I'd like 22 for the practice afternoon, enough for two full sides. Thats nice but I'd suggest you hold on to your 18 to aviod people turning up for training and then being told they can't play.
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 March 2007 Author Posted 30 March 2007 What time is it likely to be on the 9th and is it too late for me to announce, dramatically, that I still might make it? No it's not 15:00 although I can switch by a hour or two if you want.
Trumpet Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 I can't take two saturdays off work. Hence, i'd like training to be on a sunday Don't change it for me though, I'm not that essential Would be nice to have a vote to see which is better, a saturday or sunday? Same for me Trainings a good idea though, gives us a chance to know who were going to be playing with etc.
Thracian Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Same for me Trainings a good idea though, gives us a chance to know who were going to be playing with etc. I've no problem for the same time Sunday June 3rd - in fact it's easier - so its a matter of preference. Again just let me know and we'll see what the weight of opinion is.
Finnegan Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 No it's not 15:00 although I can switch by a hour or two if you want. I've checked the Saturday line up and the only band I'm bothered about, at the moment, are the Crue(!!!!) The festival's only about a thirty minute drive from my house so if I can get my old man to drive down or (if needs really be, get the bus to Loughborough) I can probably get to the game and bomb back to the festival before the decent bands get on anyway. How's that for commitment?
Alexikokopops Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 I'm afraid I won't be able to make to the under 21s training. Got two very important exams in the 5 days following it.
Simi Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Weds evening at loughborough Wednesday evenings are not going to be very convienent for under 21's are they.
Wils Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 No chance of me making training. Dont need it anyway. Unless anyone is prepared to fill my car up for me.
Hullfox Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 They're getting in a right two and eight over their training, think what they'll be like on the day. Our training camp in La Manga will work well for us, I can tell.

Sparky Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 when you say Aylestone park do you mean dorset avenue ? Its my sunday teams home ground and the chances of using 1 of those pitches is very slim that time of year . Most grass pitches will be out of use . We cant get a pitch for friendlys till early august
Daggers Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 I'm reckoning I could make the late night training...I have a niggling groin that's itching for a massage
Finnegan Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 I'm sure Paul Dickov can show us a few of us scoring techniques at the La Manga camp, to aid our success off on the pitch.

We cant get a pitch for friendlys till early august This is the set of pitches I have been talking about on here. It's worth a try but I'm under the impression that the pitches are re-done not too long after the season finishes. If we go ahead and make this a charity event as has been talked about, I'm sure the groundsman might consider letting us use one of the pitches.

Benji Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 can't make training on the saturday, gf is going home for summer so going to the airport, sunday would be ok though
Bert Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 June 2nd at Aylestone Park 3.00. If we can get enough balls we could have some small side work and then a sort of A v B game to try and sort some sensible playing positions. Depends how keen folk are but it would be nice to build a bit of team spirit. I could make that. Easily. If we need to pitch hire, i'm sure that everyone could chip in a few quid. Hope the oldies have some quick defenders!! .
Tomassi Posted 1 April 2007 Posted 1 April 2007 How about getting an astro pitch hired out for 90 minutes down Manor Road in Oadby, St. Margerets Pastures (abbey Lane) or that 3G Pitch at JudgeMeadow??? With the pitches being hard in the summer it wont make much difference between grass and astro and the pitch will be flat Aprox cost £54, 18 per team = £1.50 each...?
Spee-d Posted 1 April 2007 Posted 1 April 2007 Those Manor Road people still have about 11 of my phones. Make sure you pay them, they are very weird about that.

The pitch at Manor Road in Oadby is the same sort of stuff as St Maggies isn't it? And belongs to the University as far as I'm aware? Out of the 3, I'd prefer Judgemeadow I suppose, but I can get to any of the 3 without much problem at all. It all depends on what is easiest for everyone to make. I know SLY_XXX is enquiring tomorrow about using the Walkers as a pitch (putting a lot of emphasis on it beng a charity game).
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 1 April 2007 Posted 1 April 2007 My saturday team playes at wreake valley college and i think we've got the pitch there booked up till the end of june but our games finish way before that if you want to use it.

That's my school. I'm sure Jamie will have something to say about that pitch he's played there to. I should think we could get a better pitch than that though.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 April 2007 Author Posted 1 April 2007 Manwell TPH Fezz Frankie Worthies done me mrs Scoweh Cobbo Apexgeo Dagenham Dave Lord Nibblington SLY Singh Blue Blood Monk Nasir Jones Shum Ric Flair Tommassi Finnegan Thats our final squad, if any one wants to play let me know and I'll stick you down as a reserve, I think theres a question mark over a couple of players already. Think I will start a poll on possible venues tomorrow.
