dandannieldanok Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Struttted around like expected, dishing out yellow left, right and centre. Some very needless free-kicks and a missed blatant penalty.
Finnegan Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 I watched on TV in the pub, I can tell you out and out that was the worst reffing performance I've seen in a very long time. I think it unfair to say it cost us the game, perhaps, as we were atrocious in the first half. But that was dire. How 22 men finished and we never got a penalty will always escape me.
Stuliasz Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 I've seen better, I've seen worse. He made a few bizarre decisions but had we have actually turned up in the first half, the penalty decision may well not have mattered.
Thracian Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 If TPH thinks he's appalling he must actually be brilliant and was just hiding it today.
act smiley Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 I've seen worse. The penalty was blatant and a shocker, but other than that it was more or less okay. A few freekicks that should and shouldn't have been. Not a good game by his standards, mostly due to a couple of missed off the ball elbows on Hume and the blatant penalty, but far from the most horrific overall performance.
Bert Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Webb had a decent game.hes a top referee and handled it well but we didnt win so who do we blame ?? the ref Edit: i wasnt sure of one decision when fryatt was going into the box You only say that 'cos you have some fettish about him. How he didn't give the penalty was a shcoker he was 5 yards away, the player didn't win the ball and our man ended up on the floor after contact, which in my eyes is a foul. He gave the Fryatt decision you're on about to them for pretty much what Moore did to Kisnorbo.
Phube Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 I'm sure Darren Moore is his lover or summat; fouls he commited and didn't get punished for (that I can remember!): 1) The PENALTY!!!! 2) The elbow in the neck of Hume. 3)The foul on Matty, which he got the other way!!??? 4) Every cross into the box he fouled our players, and Webb didn't give one against him!!!! And lets not even talk about when Hume was pole-axed, everyone in the ground (including Garry Birtles) assumed he gave the foul, only for him to give us the throw in!!!! One word = SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geo V Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Absolute shocker. How he didnt give that peno i`ll never know. T w a t

He's a cross between McCarthy & Dabizas and as we know sometimes a player gets away with it and sometimes they don't. Obviously Derby had done their work on finding out what this ref was all about, as for us it looked like we had done FA preparation on the ref, as usual. I gues it's another example of the effect of being paupers.

I think Darren Moore has had a great life. Going from playing that dude in the Green Mile to a pro footballer is amazing. He was a better actor than footballer thats for sure.
