Brainy Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Overall a good performance by Leicester in my eyes. There were a few good chances at both ends and if they were put away it would have changed the game. Were we lucky to get away with a point, or were we good enough to pick up all three points?
Rossatron Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 good enough and should of got all 3, still well played though i thought, i would have taken a point befor kick off!
Bryn Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 We were good enough to take all three points, but Derby really should have played football in the 2nd half rather than sitting back. It's not quite two points lost but it's certainly not only a point gained.
Master Fox Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Well before the game i would say a point would of been good enough, but after the game i feel like we should of really gone on to score and second a take all three. Oh well, another win and we should be safe and think that should be achievable. It’s all about next season now.
Flynny Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Even game. Leicester's mentality was about right. Not gung ho in attack, but not overly defensive either. Can't really say we should have attacked more, we just needed to put away our chances. Anyone got match stats?

Head Honcho Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Two points lost due to a mixture of: 50% Referee-What game were you watching??????? 25% Kelly-Why did Hammond start??????? 25% Players-Hughes-WTF did you do all game? You should be ashamed of yourself. I expect Hammond to play shit but you were just in beyond belief.
Simi Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 On the second half performance I'd say we deserved it but I'm happy with a point overall.
AyewJoking Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 If I were a sheep shágging rams fan I would be bitterly disappointed with their second half performance. This result was good PR, a draw against the league leaders but we were still utter garbage many times today.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Fair result, we were shit first half, they were shit second half.
Mark Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 I think a point was the most each team deserved out of that but we were still our clueless selves at times, including all of the first half bar the opening minutes. Second half we at least put up a fight and Fryatt at last is looking confident and starting to play like he did last season. Hopefully he'll be ready to start on Monday now.
lildave3 Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Even game, point gained for me. Plus it stops Derby a little bit, i'm happy enough with it.
Milky Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Two points gained? what the hell is all that about A draw was a fair result today
Brainy Posted 6 April 2007 Author Posted 6 April 2007 Two points gained? what the hell is all that about I don't know.
davieG Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 We were a better class of shite than them today, I thought they were fairly poor at Pride Park as well, determined, strong and seeminglly aware of how to play the referee but with minimal talent in the side. The fact they are top of the league really does show what a piss poor league this is and what a missed opportunity as I believe it will be much tougher next season.
Thracian Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 In our situation and considering the League position of the opposition it was a welcome point gained and a valuable one given that our goal difference is also worth a point.
AyewJoking Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Ah so THATS the two points people are talking about.
Koke Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Before the game I'd gladly have taken a point, and looking back at it now a point each was a fair result I suppose. The stats are in our favour though and I thought we could've nicked in the end in the last 10 min or so. A point gained for me.
Wils Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 A point gained definatly for me. Although we did have chances to win it,but so did they so overall a fairish result. Its one of the games i thought we'd get nothing from so definatly one gained.
Bryn Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 Point gained is always 2 points lost in my book. I agree to an extent, if I were a manager I'd sooner push for a win and lose than sit on a draw as a rule of thumb, but sometimes you just need points from everywhere and a draw is welcome.
act smiley Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 I was worried that the kind of poor quality, highly efficient manner in which Derby seem to play would take our plain poor quality to bits, but it didn't happen. I suppose I should be pleased with the point and I would have been if you'd told me the score in advance, and we did get away with some poor spells, but with that blatant penalty not given and that good spell near the end, we could have got the extra two. It feels like two lost now, but give it a couple of days to calm down and I'm sure it'll be more like one gained.
