lookwhaticando Posted 12 April 2007 Posted 12 April 2007 Big fan of Arsenal and Spurs then I see. I hate them both. Probably Tottenham more than Arsenal, because I've actively hated Tottenham longer than I've had strong distaste for all things Arsenal. Shitty north London clubs. <_<

Tommeh Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 For once chinchilla man, i disagree with you. I quite like Spurs, they've got some good young british players and play decent football. Still hate Arsenal though <_< I love 'em both, need to think about which one to support the season after next, as I'll probably be moving down to London at uni and I need a team to support! Hmmmmm ST down at the Emirates, and no way am I suporting a team not in the prem like Leicester!
lookwhaticando Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 For once chinchilla man, i disagree with you. I quite like Spurs, they've got some good young british players and play decent football. Still hate Arsenal though <_< Thanks for reminding me. I rather dislike when the commentators are whacking off about Tottenham's "great passing style" around the time they're hoofing balls up the field. I heard it the other day again and it drove me nuts. They pumped a ball up the pitch straight to the strikers, knocked the ball down and scored - much like their opponents, Bolton, are famous for. The difference is, nobody was trying to claim Bolton were a "great passing side" while they banged balls up the field as quickly as possible. That really fooked me off. "Tottenham play some great passing football... Robinson... to Keane... Berbatov!!!!!" Bastards.
act smiley Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 I had to stop myself throwing stuff at the TV a week or two back when Townsend was going about how "this is a brilliant through ball from Keane to Berbatov here" ... except it was a pass to the left wing that deflected luckily off a defender to go back across to Berbatov, who was on the right of Keane and never in Keane's field of vision. Spurs and their jumped up fans and the media. Most of the worst things in football in one.
Phube Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Sheilding the ball out of play for a goal kick!!! It's OBSTRUCTION anywhere else on the pitch and really pisses me off!!!! There should be a rule that the defender has to touch the ball, i.e. be in control of the ball to shield it!!!!!
Thracian Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Referees who don't give what they actually see but are swayed by crowds, player histrionics, what they think might have happened rather than what they saw happen. Oh yes and the failure to punish timewasting, opposition players not getting away from the ball for freekicks and bad sportsmanship like rolling around in agony cos someone breathed on them heavily. In many instances it is blatant cheating. If I were a referee would explain my stance on these issues before a game and there would be no second chances. If a player stood preventing a quick free kick he'd be booked, simple as that.
Sods Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Time wasting, whats the point tbh if your 1-0 up against barnsley. Go and get another goal for fox sake, then when they equalise the other team will time waste. It even annoys me when leicester do it tbh.
Filbert_Ross Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 I hate liverpool, but hate Motson and Lauro more than anything else in football.
SussexFox Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Agree with lookwhaticando on Tottenham, hate the fact their fans think they are such a massive club (first team to do the double blah blah blah) when in reality they aren't having won 1 league cup in the last 15 years, hardly on par with Barcelona and Real Madrid are they...
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 I was going to say the same. Malbranque not ''Malbrank'' Jenas not 'Genas' The FA, UEFA and FIFA. All run by idiots who pretend to know about Football. Don't forget Matthew Flameeni
Camels Toe Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Firstly, hi everyone this is my first post on here!!! The fact that national players get paid to represent their country, it should be an honour!!! Players who dive and then roll around on the floor whilst looking at the referee in the hope he will award them with a free kick or penno. Players who sign bringing out a card at an opposition player to the referee
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 What really annoys me about the game is the direction it's taking, more sponsers, more money, bigger TV deals mean the poor get poorer and the rich get richer, with all the money knocking about in the Premiership now any team thats up there for a season gives it'self a 45 million poind advantage over the 21 other teams in the division when it comes back down. By 2012 the Championship will be a very predictable league. And The Premiership already is. Tied into that are the increasing ticket prices, I can remeber when it used to be 8 quid for a ticket at Leicester, now Arsenal charge 94 pounds top rate and chelsea is about 50 notes for a standerd ticket unbelivable. Oh and players are paid to much.

Sods Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Why dont players sing they fecking national anthem that pisses me off
Unit Posted 13 April 2007 Author Posted 13 April 2007 Why dont players sing they fecking national anthem that pisses me off Because none of them know the words sadly. can i just comment on you have possibly the best signiture picture i've ever seen
Asha Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Didier Zokoras theatrics, Derby County FC recent success, Bitching opposition fans who constantly piss and whine about ref decisions even if there blatantly correct, Sepp Blatter, the fact won't be in the first playoff final at wembely, defensive football, hoofball, 'the special one', lack of atmosphere in new stadiums, Steve McClaren, plastic fans who claim to be die hards, all the 'we won the world cup' West Ham fans.Apart from football ain't to bad Never understood this maybe i'm too young why would they sing that West Ham have never been in a world cup?
Daggers Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 The decline and fall of the comedy streaker and the absence of good cheese and onion rolls
Daggers Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Does the cost annoy no one else then? Compared to how much I have to pay for ladies of the night to cater to my wild perversions, the cost of footy is a mere drop in the ocean. Oh God! I didn't just type that out loud did I?
hebangsthedrums Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 That poncy sounding match reporter on the radio after our results have been on, who does the match report in that ridiculous style. twat.
Geo V Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 David Pleat. Wasnt it fantastic that despite his co-commentator calling him by his name, Chimonda, and that it was written on the back of his shirt, Pleat still managed to ignore all the signals and call Chimonda "CHIMBOMBA" fot the whole game Anyway, back to topic . I get hacked off how everyone moans at the officials for missing stuff when its bloody impossible to not make mistakes and get get decisions wrong, especially in England where our lads play at 100mph! Stoppages wind me up too. There are far too many and I think the average game time is about 60 mins with the ball within the pitch. They cheat us out of 30 mins . Its already been mentioned but everyone swearing at the opposition players, foaming from the mouth and going nuts despite kids being around them or blantant over reactions to the smallest incident winds me up.
Daggers Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Bubble gum football cards vanishing. No 'World Of Sport with Dickie Davies'. No Brian Moore. Players not giving autographs because they'll be sold on Ebay. The selling of football's soul on Ebay. The selling of football's soul to Rupert Murdoch. Fancy Dan foreigners coming over here to take our football jobs, shag our women and drink our beer. Chelsea. Fancy Dan foreign billionaires buying clubs. Clubs moving from their historical homes to indentikit bland stadia. Not being able to jump on the pitch and bounce around after a goal. Not being able to stand. Piss poor players being paid like kings to fart about for 90 minutes a week and call it work. People that were the thickest kids in class driving cars that cost as much as the national debt of Guam. Anyone that doesn't agree with my perspectives
