176 after 18 overs.

Got to be pleased with that in a shortened and delayed game!

Cobb 70 off 45 and Smith 56 off 37.

Styris chipped in at the end with 27 off 13 :D

Another terrible batting performance today from Leicestershire, set up for a real drubbing at the hands of Glamorgan. That's two batting collapses in four days, starting to worry me now. Bad toss to lose but haven't won any out of seven tosses this season so far, so slightly unlucky there.

Also on Friday, we should've comfortably beat Northants in the T20, three dropped catches and very ill disciplined bowling i.e. wides and no balls cost us the game after a very good total was put on the board by the batsmen. Not all doom and gloom, but the last few days have smacked of last season, the next three days won't bring much hope either v Glamorgan I reckon.

Need to go back to basics and try and build on the competitiveness they showed in the first few games.

Leics were very poor, bowling was wayward and the fielding awful bar two great catches near the end when they were going for it.

Batting was tough, Wells hit a lovely 50, the only positive.

Looked well off the pace, poor fielding and Sarwan took up a lot of balls for his 30 something top order just did not get going and missed Styris, some very impressive hitting by Wells.

This is spot on, Sarwan used up approx 6 overs for 30 something runs, not good enough from our overseas star batsman.

Why was batting tough?

I meant that the chase was tough and we hit the fielders too often. Sarwan should've got a move on, no doubt.

Wells played brilliantly, another young English player coming through, can see him following in the footsteps of Broad and Taylor.

Fvcking off county for somewhere better ASAP then.

To only lose 5 wickets vs Birmingham yet lose by 25 runs shows that the top5 failed abysmally, even though we lost 3 early wickets Sarwan and Eckersley were too slow in pushing on leaving Wells Thornley and potentially Taylor no chance of getting the runs required.

Playing well today vs Glos. 9 runs ahead after the 1st innings despite Leics having 2 seamers off injured. First win in the LV CC seems just around the corner.
