Rocky Dennis Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 I know Weso's struggled with injuries and been in and out of the team, but i just think hes getting better and better, with a good pre-season and a decent midfield partner next season i think he's gonna be a huge player for us. Agree??

Jay Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 I think it's all down to him to apply himself it's certainly their for him, just needs to cut back on the the pubs, clubs and casinos maybe a manager with a bit of discipline is whats needed
lostsole89 Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 I don't know yet, he hasn't really proven anything this season. He could probably be a good player just needs more time.
Mort Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 He always showed the ability, but would then be blighted with injury and that would set him back, but after having his longest run in the first team he's shown that the injuries have not crippled his potential, he's still perhaps our most gifted technical player, has a smashing attitude and should only be able to get better... with a decent midfield (players like Murphy and Jarvis) he can really excel, the best thing is that he's still very young and has plenty of time to realise his potential, potential that was criminally neglected and unnurtred under the previous coaching regimes

I cant beleive Kelly didnt play him more often, im led to beleive he's been fit for months but kelly just didnt fancy playing him, he preferred Jarrett or Hughes. Weso's 10 times better than both of them (potentially, of course). Yesterday he looked liked he'd been playing there for years.

Bryn Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 He can already win the midfield single handedly at the age of 19. Just think what he'll be like if he gets a bit leaner, a little more muscular and a lot more experienced. I personally don't think he's injury prone. I think it's almost purely a case of bad luck that he's been persistently injured. I see no reason why, with a good pre-season, he can't play his first full season. Tevez Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 Unsure over Weso really, if he can keep fit with no major injurys then yes he could become our star player.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 I can understand why people get excited after performances like that (not that he was brilliant, but he offers so much). The bottom line is that we can't rely on him. We don't want to end up with a similar midfield to that we've had to rely on this season. We need one or two quality central midfielders in the summer. We do need a decent midfield infront of him. He's still a young lad and with the injuries he's had it willl be difficult to remain fit. I hope he stays because he can provide good backup. Jon the Hat Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 The kid has come back from serious injury twice and shown he can add something to our midfield. With that kind of mental strength he can go as far as his natural ability will allow him. He certainly seems to have plenty of that, so given that the team will be developing and improving over the next 2-3 seasons I see no reason why he can't grow and improve with that team to become a really important player. Tubes Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 the lad has massive potential IMO as long as he learns from stearman and keeps his feet firmly on the ground
Jay Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 the lad has massive potential IMO as long as he learns from stearman and keeps his feet firmly on the ground are you sure it shouldn't be as long as he DOESN'T learn from Stearman always on the piss, frequent trips to the casino can't be something to learn from surely!! Joe. Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 I think he can be a very good player for us definitely. He's had his terrible luck with injuries but now he's come back and proved me wrong about his abilities certainly. The great thing is he's still young and has plenty of time to improve and I'm sure he will. I'm just hoping he gets a clean run through the season and consistently show what he can do. dandannieldanok Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 He needs to improve his passing to become a star player. There is no doubt the lad has the battling qualities and the determination to secure a starting place but I do think he should try and work on more adventurous passing. Still, he was one of our better players yesterday and I'm glad we have him.
The Reverend Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 Yes he could, no question. The things he does at his age are brilliant. He just needs a proper pre-season.

Thracian Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 No question. He, more than anyone, dictates that we play the ball to feet and surely as our team develops we will add others, like Mattock who do the same. I just wish it hadn't taken the club two years and more to start promoting that sort of football. The big things about Wesolowski are his industry, his accuracy and his inclination to do the simple thing. But above all he's got brains - and tends to make the right decisions. Interesting to hear Mattock being talked of as a star too. To me he simply had a good, solid game yesterday, rather than being outstanding. But while he might stand out a bit in the first team he's no special star in the Academy. He plays consistently well, no question. But there are others catch the eye just as much. Leonisco Posted 29 April 2007 Share Posted 29 April 2007 He ran the midfield yesterday. I think our attacking looks a lot more fluent with him in the side, he passes it about in midfield and keeps it all ticking over nicely. He's got massive potential, if he can steer clear of injuries he'll make a fantastic player one day.
