Bryn Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 BLUES boss Jim Magilton has confirmed he is interested in signing French winger Laurent Robert. The former Newcastle United star was spotted lunching with Town chief scout Charlie Woods in an Italian restaurant in Ipswich on Saturday before watching the Blues draw with Burnley. As free agent after leaving Spanish club Levante the 32-year-old is available and Magilton has invited him to Portman Road. Magilton said: “If Laurent Robert was available I would encourage him to come to the club so we can look at him. He is someone we know has all the qualities we like. “There is a possibility that we can take him in and it will be down to Robert if he wants to come and be part of this club.†Roberts returned to France after the weekend and will spend the New Year at home before making his decision next week. Possible hijack? Would be an intruiging signing.
scinnell Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 i think we should sign an experianced midfielder such as Nigel Quashie? no jay jay ochocka from hull
WetFlannel Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 .....Ha. Are you being that ridiculous on purpose or are you accidently having a go? Just a wish list thread where you can wack in who you would like to see here, realistically of course as your suggestion is quite wank. I thought it was realistic to an extent as i kept in Mattock and Kisnorbo
lookwhaticando Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 BLUES boss Jim Magilton has confirmed he is interested in signing French winger Laurent Robert. A temperamental bastard of a player... but might prove useful on the wings for us. If he can deploy the good ol' "French Knockout" against some opposition players too, we'd be laughing.

Brainy Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Fiorentina, but I think Derby are favourites to re-sign him.

MikeyT Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 I'll hedge my bets and take the chance as to whether this will end up in the FT useless threads trash can or not.Just post the shortlist of players you want, and if you think of more add to your initial post unlike the transfer targets thread. Mine would be: Lee Camp or Lewis Price Stephen Crainey Zander Diamond Neil Danns Markus Weissenberger Shaun Newton Danny Cadamarteri Julian Gray Mario Frick Clive Platt Craig Lindfield (loan) I think we would be struggling to get all of those but who knows. What about Wayne Routledge at Spurs?? He's not figured for them for a long long time? Unless he's injured but i dont think he is!!!
Clemence07 Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Preety cool, mine would be Martin Fulop Danny Haynes Malty Mckay Neil Clement Stevie Howardd Vincent Pericard Jonathon Greening
