Jimmy Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 i wouldn't take a loan deal unless they are paying 100% of his wages other wise we may as well keep him here
brookfox Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 I'm sorry but this guy has got to go, he has lost weight, whoopie-do , but he shouldn't have put it on in the first place. As a footballer he may be slightly less cumbersome but his touch, heading, shooting and general ability is not noticably better. Plus he is 31 so he is past his best. I couldn't agree more. It amazes me that people seem to think you can diet yourself good at football. I could shed 3/4 of a stone but I'd still be fairly inept at the ball at my feet! If he's still in our squad this season I'll be very disappointed. At 31 he aint gonna come good.
meadwell5 Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 I think de vries has been rubbish whilst with us, but he has played well so i hear in the friendlys, my worry is Allen is playing him and not giving others a game. Both de vries and hammond have had games, why is this if we dont want them?

bringbackWalshie Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 some fans have not got a clue! if you know anything about football and watch leicester every week you will know he is a s**t player! and will never go up with that lump of s**t

Thracian Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 Fresh off the bbc gossip column:Ive not seen him play in any of the freindlies, but looking back at the post the vast majority of people would have said that they would let him go without blinking an eyelid. But from reading peoples posts since the friendlies i think a few peoples opinion will have changed. Im going to reserve judgement for now until ive seen him "in action" after i get back from germany next week. Psssst, the whole lot can go, MDV, Hammond, Cort. They'll do anything to keep Fryatt!. He's our great hope.
Pete_foxes Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 I know how poor he was when he was with us! maybe he'l be good this time I actually think we shud keep him for more season, but not at the expence of Fryatt!

filbertway Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 Ok I remember why De Vries isn't good enough after seeing him last night. Hopefully he can go to a team where you don't need to be mobile.

Cheese Me Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 Remember the Tottenham game? OK bring on the abuse :-)
Geo V Posted 18 July 2007 Posted 18 July 2007 You can usually judge a players ability on both his transfer/market value and his popularity with opposing managers. The fact that we havent had a bid for the lad and that he has ended up playing bench football in Holland for 18 months says plenty to me. I know he is almost becoming a cult-like figure due to his crapness like Benji but lets get real, we dont need the big fella up front and he should go to Gretna and take Rab with him.
LCFC2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 all i can say is that it will be a good thing if he goes for his own sake as he will never get in past the strike force we have got now. he has a nice toouch and ball through but he is too slow if LCFC are going to battle to get into the Premiership!!!! UP THE BLUES!!!!
Daz.I Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Let him go do us all a favour, he's lost a few pound but still a lazy lard arse never the less get rid of him to the shitty sunday scottish league where he belongs !
Daggers Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 Let him go do us all a favour, he's lost a few pound but still a lazy lard arse never the less get rid of him to the shitty sunday scottish league where he belongs ! I didn't notice him being "lazy" on Saturday...and by all accounts that goes for training and all the other pre-season games. Have you ever seen him play? Have you seen him recently?
Thracian Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 Let him go do us all a favour, he's lost a few pound but still a lazy lard arse never the less get rid of him to the shitty sunday scottish league where he belongs ! ......this guy who scored 29 goals in 72 games for Hearts in a higher league than ours and hasn't looked the least bit lazy!
Ric Flair Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 ......this guy who scored 29 goals in 72 games for Hearts in a higher league than ours! Is it really a higher league than ours though? His record was impressive at Hearts but that league is utter guff other than about 3 or 4 teams. You only have to look at other players that excelled in that league that have come to the Championship or the Premiership and looked out of their depth.
davieG Posted 24 July 2007 Posted 24 July 2007 Topic closed, there is an active thread on MDV in the LCFC forum post there if you have something to say about him.
