lildave3 Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Where the hell was Matty Taylor's goal in the goal of the season comp?
Sly Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Hard choice this year. Its Robin Van Persie's volley for me. Goal (B)
lildave3 Posted 1 June 2007 Author Posted 1 June 2007 Hard choice this year. Its Robin Van Persie's volley for me. Goal (B) So many top goals. Disappointed with the lack of Matty Taylors goal though. I'd probably have to choose Scholes' or Anelka's.
Brainy Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Where the hell was Matty Taylor's goal in the goal of the season comp? Depends whether he won goal of the month. Afterall, those goals were picked as they won goal of the month.
Father Ted Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 All good goals, Van Persie 3rd, Scholes 2nd, Rooney (with Ronaldo) 1st
dandannieldanok Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Also where was Henry's at Blackburn?? I would choose Scholes's.
Simi Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Scholes. What a class strike that was and from theb height it came from. Fantastic.
Tommeh Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 1. Scholes, 2. RVP, 3. Rooney for me For anyone entering MOTD's competition remember Leonardo gave it away with Rooney or was he tricking? Hmmmm........

Bert Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Van Pansie for me. Purely for the most technique, very close with Scholesy though.
Tommeh Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 He wasn't tricking. Maybe someone else will pick the winner now. wouldn't put it past Hansen and Gaz to set that one up, bet the phones and text's are piling in for Rooneh now
City Fan Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 But Rooney had 2 entrants so could be either? Was disappointed to not see Matty Taylor's goal, but out of those it has to be Anelkas!
Simi Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 But Rooney had 2 entrants so could be either? Was disappointed to not see Matty Taylor's goal, but out of those it has to be Anelkas! The swerve on Anelkas shot was out of this world.
City Fan Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 The swerve on Anelkas shot was out of this world. Yeah, and then for it to hit the underside of the crossbar and still go in with that amount of swerve was just brilliant.
Stevosevic Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 1. Scholes 2. Van Persie 3. Rooney (chip v portsmouth)
Samu Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Why was Essien's against Arsenal not good enough to make the list?
SystonFox Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 and what about Drogba vs Liverpool (1-0 Chelski win) best technique to get it on his weaker foot on the turn. amazing goal. it'll be Rooney who wins (with his goal vs Bolton) but it should be Anelka or Lendzaaaat
Brainy Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Can i just say again.. Some goals weren't in the competition as they didn't win the goal of the MONTH.
Durnerz Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Hard choice. Its between Van Persies and Scholes's goal for me, both excellent technique from difficult positions.
DB11 Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 I think goal B was the best goal but the one with Rooney and Ronaldo was really good with the link up play etc.
Ultra Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 The Rooney goal v. Bolton (the 1-2s with Ronaldo) was class and deserves to win. But I can't believe none of Drogba's goals even got picked - especially that winner at Everton.
