The move will bring to an end his long-running partnership with co-host Helen Chamberlain. The Sky Sports show is a Saturday morning staple for football fans. Lovejoy, 39, is believed to be developing a new celebrity show with Simon Fuller's 19 TV. A Sky Sports spokesman said: "We can confirm that Tim Lovejoy has left Sky Sports. "Tim notified us that he'd like a change of direction in his career and it is a decision that we understand. "He leaves with our very best wishes for the future and we would like to thank him for his hard work throughout his time with Sky Sports." Chamberlain will continue to present Soccer AM and a new co-host will be announced soon. Lovejoy currently hosts BBC2 magazine show Something For The Weekend. He has also co-presented Five's motoring show Fifth Gear and interviewed David Beckham for an ITV1 documentary last year. Copyright Press Association 2007.

I used to think the world had too many lawyers...but they have long been overtaken by insignificant twats like Lovejoy.
The Stig Posted 5 June 2007 Posted 5 June 2007 I read another story on this, he is also taking Fenners and Tubes with him, Fenners was behind most of the funny characters on including Stan Hibbert and Barry, Lovejoy also produced a lot of these sketches so it will now in my view not be worth watching, its a sad sad day

Not only is he a glory hunting ex Watford fan Chelsea turn coat blue scum ****, he actually thinks he is funny, which he is not I know I'm older that a general demographic on here. I also can remeber the golden days of Saint and Greavsie, a show that was actually about........ football!! Yes Tim... it's FOOTBALL not soccer you ****. I dont care about your stupid unfunny self indulgent unfunny sketches!! And anyone associated with football who says things like "come on the police" should be shot! I suppose up in the VIP seats at Stamford Bridge all is fine a dandy... but when you take a hiding of GMP for no good reason then maybe you will understand what being a real football fan is all about you plactic twat! As a football fan I want a football show, not a show for scruffy sound-alike one hit wonder bands and blokes jumping around shouting easy-easy. Some people dont have any humour or savvy of their own so they jump on the stupid bandwagons that Tim Wankjoy makes for them... got it makes me sick Lets have a show that is light hearted by focusses on football at all levels and is 3 hours of football based banter.
