Joe. Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Martin Allen is making all the right decisions for us at the moment I think and this one just adds to the list
Daggers Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 They are listed - they haven't been released on free's...or have I missed something? They haven't gone anywhere ~ and I'd imagine they're not in a hurry to go either, continuing to collect decent salaries for doing sod all.

I know this is slightly off topic, but as you have mentioned salaries, do players still pick up wages during this period from the last game to the start of pre-season on July 1st ?
shen Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 link United out of race for de Vries DUNDEE UNITED have dropped their interest in Leicester City striker Mark de Vries, writes Ian Roache. The Dutchman was on manager Craig Levein’s wish list, having worked with him at both the east Midlands club and Hearts. However, given that the player is still under contract at the Foxes and on a sizeable salary, the Tangerines are now looking elsewhere. Bugger... <_<
lookwhaticando Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 We hope... He does. Was just on local news up here! It's a suggestion that's been banded around repeatedly ever since Levein took the Tangy job in Dundee. linkBugger... <_< Surprise surprise, Levein's costly contract calculations two-and-a-half years ago have priced him out of a move for the lump.
lcfc_jme Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 I thought Deep Freeze was on the list already? Still, it'll be nice to finally get rid of that useless lump. And to get Rab and his Bentley another place to reside on a stupid wage.

lcfc_jme Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 Yeah but will anybody actually buy these two? Levein would like De Vries back, I understand. And if nobody buys Rab, surely we'll buy his contract out and just be rid of him now??
mancunianfox Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 RAB GRABGRETNA and Dundee are understood to be keen on former Celtic goalkeeper Rab Douglas, transfer-listed by new Leicester boss Martin Allen. The Foxes are also ready to listen to offers for ex-Hearts frontman Mark de Vries, with his former Tynecastle boss Craig Levein tipped to take him to Dundee United. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/footbal...-name_page.html
lookwhaticando Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 One day we're told Dundee UTD cannae afford De Vries... the next day the rumour resurfaces anyway. The Rab Douglas to Gretna rumour's a floater too... watch it there, bobbing up and down.

The Rab Douglas to Gretna rumour's a floater too... watch it there, bobbing up and down. If he goes to Dundee UTD it will be for less than 100k and he'll be taking a wage slash. EDIT: LWICD, Do not refer to Dundee United as "Dundee" if you did that in real life and there was a DUFC supported about, he would actually hit you

I did that before. I'll remember next time, for sure.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Rab reckons a 'southern' club are interested in him. Rab has got this transfer lark down to a tee though! I'm sure he's done this before! Get put up for transfer, think about it for 6 weeks whilst still collecting big fat pay cheque, then move at the last moment! Nice one!
