According to a friend who works in the S****horpe Ticket Office (I know - only the Ticket Office !), MA has lined up a deal to pay S****horpe £1.5m plus Matty Fryatt, for Billy Sharp. S****horpe have agreed, Sharp has agreed - only needs Matty to make his mind up !

This has also been mentioned on Football-Rumours rendering it worthless. If it is true, S****horpe are getting a bloody good deal.

Dessert Fox - Has this come from the Football-Rumours website as Dan suggests?

Don't think I am prepared to risk Fryatt going there and ending up scoring more goals than Sharp! Send them De Vries.

Seems like a bit of a rip off to me, yes Sharp is probably worth more but surely not by £1.5million. :dunno:

On what I've seen, I wouldn't pay £1million for Fryatt.

It's all down to personal preference. I don't like Fryatt's lack of pace. For all the derision, even when Elvis was playing badly he could burst through and make something happen. Fryatt hasn't got that. Sharp has got it AND he's not shit. And a great finisher. And he works hard.

In a strike partnership personally I like the players to complement each other, and it's difficult to achieve with Fryatt because he's not tall, quick, strong or particularly hard-working. I don't mean to do him down so much but if you're offering me Sharp, yes please.

I'm afraid mate, he's not mine to offer.

I've got this bible though with most of the pages missing that I bought from a shady Welshman?

That's funny. I've got a bible with some of the pages missing that I bought from a shady Welshman.

When Fryatt left Walsall he was on a scoring par with Sharp in the same division, this ain't happening.

Whether this deal makes any sense or not things have changed a lot for Fryatt since then. Injuries, loss of form, loss of sharpness and even when he wasn't injured he wasn't scoring at the rate needed.

Not a good deal. Fryatt has got huge potential that's yet to be seen cos of injury. Why get rid now when we've hardly seen the rewards of what he can do.

the website says fryatt and 1.2 million not 1.5 . not that it makes a huge difference i guess...
