Hullfox Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 As part of my business, I'm launching a company called Comfort Matters that will sell beds and riser recline chairs. My designer has come up with a load of shit so if anyone can design a logo that we can use, I'll pay you £100 and donate a further £50 to Foxestalk running costs. With the talent that appears on here someone can surely do a job on this. PM me if you need further info

lookwhaticando Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 Somehow I don't think he's paying the designer the same as the untapped talent on FoxesTalk.
Hullfox Posted 3 July 2007 Author Posted 3 July 2007 £100 No wonder your designer came up with a pile of shiote if that was his budget I'm sure that somebody would like to take advantage even if it appears you don't. It might actually lead to plenty more work for someone.

Agreed. You keep at it, mate. If I had any ability or whatever, I'd be giving it a go. £100 would go down a treat! To be honest, you might even have got help without offering money, so I think the £100 is a nice gesture.

However, if you want to run any marketing/advertising/design ideas past me I'd be more than happy to add my tuppence-worth (and no, I won't charge a consultancy fee... gone are my mercenary days!). (BTW, I worked for several years in various marketing/advertising/PR agencies... with a whole range of clients.) Anyways, it's an open offer... feel free to PM me if you think I could be of any help.
hairy Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 I'll be takin' that oner now, like. Brilliant! But maybe red is not the right colour. Did you train as a graphics designer?

Hullfox Posted 3 July 2007 Author Posted 3 July 2007 I'll be takin' that oner now, like. The van is being painted at this moment.
Finnegan Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 The van is being painted at this moment. Knew I wouldn't let you down, gaffer.

Kent Fox Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 Not that I intend to give it a serious go, but perhaps you could give an indication of the sh it you have seen so far... And the type of image you are trying to give etc.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 Love this thread. Very funny. If it all cracks off will Comfort Matters be sponsoring City with a pitchside ad this season? Or maybe kitting out the dugout for MD et al to "recline easy" © when we're 2-1 up against Blackpool?
AoWW Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 hmm, quick tip (only my humble opinion, so feel free to ignore it folks!) Based on my initial reaction... avoid anything in the logos that makes them look like they could be linked to laundry products / washing machines etc. 'Comfort' (as in the fabric softener) has a very strong brand image and some of the 'swirly' logos put forward instantly remind me of the kinda thing you'd expect to see on your washing machine/soap powder packet. ...please don't take offense... tis only an observation!

Daggers Posted 3 July 2007 Posted 3 July 2007 I don't know why anyone else is bothering with this thread seeing as how I've gone and won and everything. Better luck next time people.
