Can anyone be kind enough to give examples of what the idiots have done???!! Anyway, if its simply people posting stuff that we dont all agree with or people having far fetched or even ridiculous ideas, I wouldnt want them banned. The world is full of freaks and most of them live down here in London and I have come to the point where I dont try and make sense of what they say or do or even act and let them get on with it, ignoring the stuff that has no interest to me or whacking the odd one who decides to bring me into there warped world. Violence has a place in this society if you are an idiot.

Add me to the Idiot List Not all forums have Admin and Mods do they? I am no expert on the matter but I thought thats the point of the role of the Mod, to help manage the forum and rectify errors and point people in the right direction?? All that needs to be done is a one sentenced personal message to whoever is making the error and hopefully it stops right there. If not, warn them and if that fails, ban them! I see this forum as the Big Brother house which is full of Charleys, Gerrys and Carols . Loads of different people who are all a little weird in there own way, with me amongst them as I am daft enough to watch that shite , Time for the gym!!

I was demonstrating the duplicity which has upset people (notice I posted the same picture twice but with different words around it, and a note apologizing for duplicity - that's a recent fad). You'll also note in the picture that someone (unnamed) has posted a new topic about Stephen Hughes in Transfer Talk when one already existed (and was active at the time)! Then, you'll spot (second-bottom I think) the rumour about Manuel Pablo - that was lifted straight from Football Rumours (a massive no-no in any sports related forum here). Worse, the Manuel Pablo rumour itself had been started by some muppet from FoxesTalk, and then someone else thought it'd be wild if they posted said rumour from Football Rumours... boundlessly silly. As for the role of the mods - you're right. We're here to keep the place neat and tidy and to guide those who need guiding. We lock & delete topics that serve no purpose all the time. We tidy up accidental double-posts and warn people about their conduct if they're going about their posting in the wrong manner. We're here to keep the peace and maintain order. And we do. We close/delete/merge duplicate topics as soon as we see them. Merging a topic is the worst... because not only do you get the initial (somewhat useful) post, you also get the string of :frusty: posts that follow it. We're doing our best to guide the newer generation of posters, but sometimes we're just not getting through to them: we often do, and sadly it doesn't for some people. Some people get warnings from two or three mods/admins and still manage to get it wrong. It's not easy. You can show the horse to the water, but you can't make it drink. It's the same with FT posters. You can show them the guidelines, you can give them useful hints and tips, but you can't make them follow them. It's unfortunate that we have to resort - occasionally - to suspending a poster in an attempt to push them in the right direction, but sometimes you're left with no choice. Unless of course, you seek them out, tape them to the chair and make them read and understand your PMs and the guidelines.

So I guess in one way or another everyone appears to have become an idiot. Constantly moaning about idiots won’t stop the idiots from being idiots it just makes that person show their idiotism when supposedly their meant to be non-idiots.
