Nosey "parkers" blitz roads in Hinckley

I got bollocked the other day because it is now apparently "illegal" to kill people.

There I was quite peaceably slicing the head of a bastard who had the audacity to park in front of my drive and I got all arrested.

Look - I'm middle class, read the big papers and vote; I have more than one educational certificate so if that doesn't qualify me to dish out some instant justice then I don't know what does.

Bloody police jobsworths! When are they going to stop wasting their time persecuting the likes of me and piss off to arrest some real criminals? Huh?

Unfortunatley, you're wasted here mate.

I used to be wasted a lot. Then I just grew into being a natural waster.

That's what gets me about recycling ~ it simply doesn't fit in with my life.

I know what you were trying to do but why pick on builders?

 I was just using a common stereotype to make a point. It could have been anything, get o'er it!

And. & Daggers.

I love it when people use this kind of argument.

If people did not park illegally, (and I'm sorry Thracian but parking on the pavement regardless of how wide it is, is illegal) then they would not have to pay out on fines.

It's an easy way of generating money, not because car owners per se are being targeted, just selfish idiots.

People park illegally because there is invariably nowhere where they can sensibly park legally. Or sometimes because it is safer.

To declare whole streets of people who, by custom and practice, have parked sensibly (if illegally) instead of wilfully and unnecessarily obstructing the road to be selfish idiots makes you one judgemental lady.

Lawyers will forever defend the law unless they are being handsomely paid to rip holes in it but I certainly don't necessarily share your obvious respect for such laws. In fact I don't readily accept any individual or institution forcing me to do anything.

Why? Because laws are only made by people and not all laws are good ones because people are fallible and the demonstration of that is how often our laws have to be changed or amended in various ways. Or how often they are proved to be flawed.

Sometimes in European and Middle Eastern history the most appalling laws have been introduced yet people have been willing to apply them. Indeed lawyers have sometimes argued people to their deaths in support of poor or unjust law so they could pocket their soiled shillings.

So there is no way I'll be acknowledging the so-called rightness of law because it is the law and there's no way I'll condone the bullying of car owners just because policy changes and because local authorities suddenly want to grab some more easy money by the imposing of yet more legalised extortion.

Pretend what you will, lawyers are good at that, but the action is no less than authorative intimidation.

And if I were intimidating someone no-one would accept the justice of it. Whether my argument was right or otherwise.

I accept that parking illegally is not right. However loads of people have been parking their cars in the same spot for years and no one has said a thing about it. Then because the control has now passed to the council they send wardens out to ticket everyone without due notice. I watch wardens blitzing down Blackbird Road ticketing everything in site. It isnt about making the streets safer its about revenue generation. No wonder people get upset when for years it is fine and the next day they have a £60 ticket.

The sooner people wake up to the fact that this is purely to generate income to offset the massive hole in government spending and once again the motorist is see as the convenient target.

I had to have half a day with them when I was doing my work experience with the council.

I was actually scared. I was made to sit in a car with a tall ginger man with about 3 teeth, a short stocky woman with a huge pimple on her lip and someone who looked like Harry Enfield.

Trust me, they LOVED dishing out their tickets, "oh another one, hehe", "oooh look, disabled parking pass 2 days out of date".

I claimed I was meant to finish my day at 1.30pm thankfully they let me go. Quite possibly the worst experience of my life.

They're the sort that in wartime Germany would have joined the Gestapo. Some people haven't the strength to be powerful so enjoy the alternative of being given power.

That's a ridiculous example. And I hope you realise that.

Deary me.

Fewer than half of criminals supposedly "brought to justice" suffered the humiliation of being hauled before the courts last year.

Instead, they escaped with on-the-spot fines, cautions and warnings, said the chief inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service.

Quoth the Daily Mail today.

I would like to ask you all to join me in a minutes silence as my heart goes out to the relations of Daily Mail readers who have lost loved ones choking on their croissants while they read that headline.

Careful. We'll have Fffuter complaining about harassment on the forum.:whistle:

Ffuter is not a stereotypical bigoted right-wing blue-rinsed Mail reader and would not be seen dead with a fancy piece of French bread on his plate. He's working class stock and would have been tucking into a substantial British egg and will therefore have survived the news.

Seems to pretty well concur with bluefoxtim's remarks.

Such people will do anything for money.

Just like lawyers really.

What a bag of shite. What exactly is your point?

There are wankers working in all professions but in any case so what if they enjoy their job? If you don't park illegally you don't get a ticket. Barraging traffic wardens with misplaced analogies about the gestapo is pathetic and immature, especially on an internet messageboard.

Take your issues up with your local MP and stop drowing us in sensationalist rubbish.

Are you a failed lawyer or something?

I don't think I've ever listened to anyone so bitter.

Isn't there some throwaway, lowest common-denominator rag you could submit this bullsh it to?

Sermon...
Self-pitying sermon

I hope for your sakes that neither of you end up in a wheelchair, or blind. I'm sure you would be well rid of illegally parked vehicles.

BTW, I can't wait to be a fully qualified lawyer. I love the reactions towards them! lol

Excellent, because this brain-donor helmet on here keeps threatening to take me to court.

I need defending. I assume you'll defend me?

Is that what lawyers do?

I can't wait to become a fascist traffic warden.

I'm going to target certain cars on purpose until they build some new gas chambers so I can get me a job in one of them.

When do you qualify?

Just so I know.

In case I need you.

In a lawyer way only.
