Guest Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 okay so maybe I fibbed a bit with the title but bear with me for a minute. We've all seen the debates about how to spell KAEBI'S NAME (kAABI? kA'EBI?), but how about the pronunciation?? surely if we wanna make up a decent song we need to get this right. For the record my own opinion is ki-ee-bee but wad'ya all reckon?
Brainy Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 We had this discussion a few weeks back. Kay-eebi Kaaa-bee
Nationwider Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Yup - I think someone said it's pronounced to rhyme with Taibi, as in the sh*te Man Utd goalie of yesteryear. Ky-ee-bee. Either that, or it's pronouced Throatwobbler Mangrove. Misleading thread titles like that are bad form. Go to the naughty step, tinker.

Brainy Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Didnt somebody post from Iran and say it was K(slight pause)then abi?Summat like that I think they then said they weren't too sure either
Unabomber Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Yeah it's definitely Kaa-bee, as he said it rhymes with the English name Abbie but with a K in front. As that Iranian fan posted how to to pronounce it a while back.
lildave3 Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I am calling him Samantha Any reason? Or does he just like a Samantha? Here's one i've always wondered, how can someone look like a name?
Sepehr Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Yeah it's definitely Kaa-bee, as he said it rhymes with the English name Abbie but with a K in front. As that Iranian fan posted how to to pronounce it a while back. Yes thats right. Its like Abbie but the a is stretched a little. So to pronounce it right, say Ca, pause, then Abbie. Watch this video with sound, the commentator repeats his name quite a few times, specifically at seconds 11-12: Video
General Smuts Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 I've always like the name Tallulah and i shall christian him thus.
lildave3 Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 I've always like the name Tallulah and i shall christian him thus. Who the hell would call someone thus?
General Smuts Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Its Tallulah's new nickname. And he's not worthy of a capital letter till i've seen him play.
lildave3 Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Its >>>T<<<allulah's new nickname. And he's not worthy of a capital letter till i've seen him play. What's that then?
General Smuts Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 What's that then? The capital T that he does not deserve would be for thus, Tallulah must have a capital because Shakespeare said so.
lildave3 Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 The capital T that he does not deserve would be for thus, Tallulah must have a capital because Shakespeare said so. Now you're reading Shakespeare! Jeez.
General Smuts Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Now you're reading Shakespeare! Jeez. I prefer his films. Great director but his films are not as good as Babe: Pig In The City though
He's not bald Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Yeah it's definitely Kaa-bee, as he said it rhymes with the English name Abbie but with a K in front. As that Iranian fan posted how to to pronounce it a while back. What as in "Taxi Driver"?
