egg_fried_rice Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 Click here and click on the Martin Allen video to find an extended version of an interview with the definitely not mad and in no-way canine man himself that has just aired on ITV (it's the bottom one out of the three). The flooding joke (you'll see) had me literally crying. Legend.
egg_fried_rice Posted 3 August 2007 Author Posted 3 August 2007 Psst! He doesn't like being called Mad Dog Psst! He isn't gonna read this thread!
egg_fried_rice Posted 3 August 2007 Author Posted 3 August 2007 Pssst - he is mad though good point.... edited.
Daggers Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 good point....edited. I don't care what people say - he is Martin Mad as a box of Frogs Allen
Stevosevic Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 He's expecting a big crowd on Saturday. He's in for a disappointment.
hebangsthedrums Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 Another small piece on Allen - didn't think it warranted a new thread: 'So let's start the season, in the absence of any fresh crusading directives from Soho Square, with a clenched-fist salute of solidarity for the Mary Whitehouses of the game, led by Martin "Mad Dog" Allen, the manager of Leicester City. It will resonate with precisely no one else but Allen apparently started his coaching trade in the city where, coincidentally, I first grew to love sport. As manager of Winchester Under-9s, Allen restricted watching parents to just two touchline comments: "Well played" and "Good pass". Shock, horror, everyone started enjoying themselves far more. It is naive to expect the same at Stamford Bridge overnight. But if Jose, Didier and co really want to achieve something important between now and May, they know where to start. Manners maketh man and all that.' http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/sport/2007/08/...plea_on_th.html

The first person in an age that hasn't seen fir to start a new thread just for the sake of it. You God.
City Fan Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 I cant get it to work for some reason, what was the gag?
Simon Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 The joke was scraping the bottom of the barrel; it was pretty funny though when the interviewer took forever to get it. City Fan, it doesn't work properly in Firefox, try using IE.
Geo V Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 at the Canoe/Kanu joke. Dosey reporter!! Typical nutty Allen when asked about the Pompey game, he says he is expecting a big crowd and starts looking around the stadium like he can envisage them in there All that was missing was that smirk he does as that would have completed things
