The Stig Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 I've looked through a couple of different sources and the answers differ, he is still being mentioned in the Martin Allen notes he posts on the OS, one saying he did some coaching, BBC Sport says he's gone, I don't think he's on the "players" bit on the OS and he hasn't been given a squad number? Whats he doing?

Nod.E Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 My money is on him sitting in KFC, halfway through a Bucket. Probably family sized.

Whats he doing? I've just spotted him outside the local Co-op with some wanna be local gangsters, and wolf whistling at some Chavs
Geo V Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Probably family sized. And I bet he swapped his coleslaw for 3 Hot Wings the greedy pig.
Stevosevic Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 And I bet he swapped his coleslaw for 3 Hot Wings the greedy pig. Is that allowed?

The Stig Posted 7 August 2007 Author Posted 7 August 2007 Does anyone actually know the answer or are we going to just carry on calling him fat, to be honest i'm happy with either.

Raj Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 No! You are right we should be serious.... He is working as the Chaplain at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and then taxi' driving at night.
Thracian Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 I've looked through a couple of different sources and the answers differ, he is still being mentioned in the Martin Allen notes he posts on the OS, one saying he did some coaching, BBC Sport says he's gone, I don't think he's on the "players" bit on the OS and he hasn't been given a squad number? Whats he doing? Working with the goalkeepers and generally passing the time of day. Being fair he's always been doing something to make himself useful when I've seen him. It's not his fault we gave him such a long and lucrative contract.
Toby or not Toby Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Working with the goalkeepers and generally passing the time of day. Being fair he's always been doing something to make himself useful when I've seen him. It's not his fault we gave him such a long and lucrative contract. I wouldn't turn it down! I heard that at start of last season that he thought he would be sold and didn't want to because he and his family had settled here and were enjoying it!
DB11 Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 He's still a player and picks up his huge player wages but he does more coaching than anything.
Ashley Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 I thought he was on the coaching side ... Why carnt MA release him ?
Head Honcho Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 I thought he was on the coaching side ...Why carnt MA release him ? Why would he want to release him? He's contracted to us and we must honour his contract, we may as well use his experience to bring our keepers on!
DB11 Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Ye, unless he was offered / accepted a coaching contract I'd keep him on his player cotnract solely for his experience and coaching skills. Not like we need to offload his wages is it
Ashley Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Why would he want to release him? He's contracted to us and we must honour his contract, we may as well use his experience to bring our keepers on! Mike Stowell is keeping the keeping coach tho isnt he?
demon_dog Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Rab is still with us. See Wolves are on the lookout for a keeper, shall we send him there?
lookwhaticando Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Mike Stowell is keeping the keeping coach tho isnt he? Yup. But there's nothing quite like training alongside a top professional and former international goalkeeper.
J.Lisemore Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Why would he want to release him? He's contracted to us and we must honour his contract, we may as well use his experience to bring our keepers on! yee use rab douglas to bring our keepers on...cuz hes a brilliant keeper himself
