Its important that MA is the manager and is totally in control of player purchases. Its OK for people to make recommendations but MA must have the final say. The whole MacKay thing was a bit of a smelly one because I reckon MA took his advice in buying certain players from abroad like Hellings and Nielsen and the end product is that they arent in the first team!
MBK Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Leicester are to offer former Chelsea and Middlesbrough striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink a deal worth £1m. (Mirror) I don't know anything so I'll keep mum. But this is monstrous. Why aren't we getting some foreign player for that amount of money?

MBK Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 says the same in the sun, too much money for an old hat Leicester owner Milan Mandaric is ready to offer JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK a £1m payday. Mandaric has put together a £20,000-a-week package to try to tempt the Dutch striker, 35, to the Walkers Stadium. Hasselbaink is a free agent after his release from Charlton and is considering offers to go and play in the Middle East.

If he comes for that money and doesn't pull his weight and put the ball in the onion bag I'm going to have his fat arse sliced off with a butchers beef (and other general cooked meats inc turkey, honey roast based meats, chicken and ham) slicer. That's the TBJS promise (da, da da da, da da)
