Murphy on the way? (Sunday August 26th)

If we have the chance to sign Murphy, then we definately should. Even if it means playing a 4-3-3, which I actually thinks might suit us with players like Hume who can then drop back behind the front two or go wide. Would be awesome signing. Murphy Clemence and Wesoloski, YES PLEASE!!!!!!

If we get Murphy we'll have the best midfield in the league. No question. I'm loving the fact we'vemade a bid. Please come Murphy, we'll treat you like a God. Unlike Tottenham.

I hope the Murphy rumour is true. Then we will boss the midfield well and truly, it would even be a decent prem midfield :w00t:

Ok we dont need Howard!! and hes played every game for Derby so far why would he come here?.

on all there sites they rekon he cant cut it at the premiership. And if they bring in either neugent or jones he wont get a game.

One minute our manager is being sacked and the next we are buying ex-International footballers from Spurs! This column filler is probably nothing but more BS

All this story suggests to me is we're still interested (perhaps pursuing it pretty heavily, considering the number of times we've been linked over the last few weeks) and all the "Allen for the sack" stories convince me of is that the journos are still after their first managerial scalp of the season (perhaps with folks within the club causing mischief)...

Leicester rival Wigan, Bolton for Tottenham's Murphy

Leicester City are moving for Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy. Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric is desperate to add one big name to his squad as he attempts to mount a promotion charge. And the Serbian millionaire is prepared to battle Wigan and Bolton in the race to sign the former Liverpool midfielder.

Murphy, 30, snubbed a loan move to the Walkers Stadium last season but is running out of options.

If we are in the running with Bolton and Wigan and it is a big if, I'm sure he wont drop down a division and come to us. I'm sure Sammy Lee was amongst the Liverpool coaching staff when Murphy came through there and Wigan is a side that have shown some ambition and have spent a few pounds on decent players. Dropping down a division at this stage of his career wont happen if he has Premiership options.

Then we shall have to drop 3 of Chambers, Kaebi, N'Gotty or Mcauley.

Yeh good point, would probably stick with the 4-4-2 then and play Murphy on the left of midfield. I've just come to conclusion today though, that MA won't be signing anyone else until January now, lol Not sure why, I think he spoke to me in a dream or something! Oh well, not a bad squad I spose, if we stay relatively injury free...

I had a dream on Saturday that we beat one of the most fancied teams for promotion 4-1.

At least I think it was a dream....

S'all about the dollar.

Come on Milan, break the fooking bank for this fella, he'd be worth it.

I have heard through the grapevine that Leicester are looking at a french midfielder called Ludovic Silvestre (sp?). I haven't got a link but he is someone that city are taking a look at.
