Clemency, Kisibetter, We'sallowedonskis,

FHumey, Fridge Freeze, Stapplegun.

Subs: Martin Allen, Mike Stowell, Vision from Hellings, Oneinthe Kissa, That Bloke with the Big Drum.

That's the toughest team I can think of without risking Hellfire to rope in the Kray Twins.

This game will be out and out attrition and there is no point pretending that there will be anything that relates to prolonged attacking football from Leicester.

De-fence will be the key and we can buy a big one from Wickes on the way.

There's no point my championing an attacking approach cos I won't be there, though I might be in spirits!.

It's my son's 21st so I don't care if City spend the whole game corralled in their own penalty area which seems to have become the established trend anyway at Selhurst Park.

For those who view football as something of a sado-masochistic ritual rather than an art form it should be a great day out.

And at least as uninspiring as the last two years cos that's what games at Palace are all about...

I know I am being harsh on McAuley who rarely lets us down but Im going for this...

CHAMBERS - KISNORBO - N`GOTTY - CLARKE

KAEBI - WESO - CLEMENCE - HUME

DJ - FRYATT

If Chambers and Kaebi are both fit, I would pick the exact same team. I think Fryatt deserves a place up front seeing he got 3 goals pre-season and had to play make-shift left mid at accrington. He always seems to get into the right positions and I think he will score if he plays. We paid alot of money for DJ and he has to be in there, he needs some continuity. 90 minutes for him please, goals will come. Hume I think could be easily converted into that midfield road, he's got a great engine and I'd like to see him running at the palace defence, cutting in and having a pop or looking to lace one through to the front pair. There's a nice blend in that midfield of pace and solidity, I think if we can keep that team (or thereabouts) fit we will soon start to get results. With one or two quality additions who knows. The left hand side could be exposed if Hume attacks, hopefully Clarke stands firm and impresses

:blink: Why not? I'm not sure Mattock is dropped from the team, rather than being injured/rotated. The line in question listed Kisnorbo and Fulop being the only "new" players for contention against Palace.

Maltese girls are the among the best-looking I have ever seen. Like Italians but more tanned and exotic.

Ie - if I'd teleported somehow a 1992/3 Lee Philpott to the current day - would he get in this side?

I'm not referring to you specifically but it's fascinating to see how fast everyone's abandoned Mattock in favour of Clarke.

A week ago Mattock was virtually unanimous choice for left-back with some suggesting he was our best prospect for years and the only player worthy of consideration for the position.

That, for many, on the evidence of four starts and a substitution.

A couple of mistakes later and virtually everyone seems to have changed their minds and is now happy to place their faith in a Sunderland reject who hasn't played a game for eight months, didn't play much at his previous club either and who many, I would imagine, have never seen play or cannot remember.

Don't get me wrong I want Clarke to play too.

But talk about fickle.

And how conveniently Sheehan's claims are ignored...

Despite our win and clean sheet at Accrington.

Despite his record of results/goals conceded being so good when he's played.

Despite so many wins and so few goals being conceded when he's appeared in the friendlies.

And despite my belief that Clarke won't be in the same class as an attacker.

Ah, the mysteries of football opinion. :whistle::D
