I saw it but I don't really think he understands how important this fixture is to the fans and how much we want to win it

He was on about he just wants a good performance and how he loves visiting the City Ground...

I think he'll realise when he sees the amount of us in the away end

Of course he does you tart, 5335 fans going for a league cup game.

I think he wants us to win every game equally regardless of the opposition, which is a healthy attitude for a manager and team to have.

Look at seasons past, where we stepped up for the likes of Tottenham but then get served by QPR.

I think he was just showing the opposition some respect and paying homage to the great man. Nothing wrong with that. I dont think he was prepared to be too cocky as the conversation before was saying he was about to be sacked - I wouldnt be suprised that the two of them have had a big run in and MA now feras for his job, publically he is putting a brave face on it!!

I wouldnt have been suprised if we lost on Saturday then he would have gone, but that result has given him a bit of space. I guess MA knows that too!

Showing respect to Forest...you got to be joking right.

No I am not joking. He is the manager - he is not going to come on TV and slag off the opposition, no matter who they are. The abuse come from the fans not the manager.

What did you expect him to say????

Anyone else find it quite funny how Allen bobs up and down when he is being interviewed?

Not at all. I think showing respect to your opponent, praising them in any way you can think of is an excellent way of keeping pressure of your own team. The psychology of football is important. Even if the opposition is having a hard time there are always ways to be charitable.

Criticising your opponents only winds them up and makes them play better and focus more. What's the point in that. The quieter you go into a game, particularly an away game, the better.

Far better to be the silent assassin that the wind-up merchant who fails to deliver.

As much as we dislike the Trees, you cant but help like Old Big Ead Brian Clough. I don't see anything wrong with the current crop of managers having role models and you couldn't get much better than BC. Why people get all upset when MA says something like that baffles me, especially as we had an ex-tree favourite and former pupil of Clough in MON manage us so well that we still pine for the players of his day and would take him back in a second!

Not everyone hates Forest.

I have massive respect for the team that lifted the European Cups and thought that Cloughie was a unique and inspirational character. My brother lives next door to the ground and supports them as do a load of our mutual friends.

Hating a team because of their geographical proximity (especially when they couldn't give a f'ck about us) is, quite simply, stupid.

Couldn't agree more old son, I fear you are fighting a losing battle on here though, lad.

People should have real reasons to hate teams...like Torquay United. Fecking bastards.

You and others slagged RK off for it before practically every fixture.

Allen what a Legend. I saw Sheehan walking on Aylestone Road to his car quite a way from the stadium after the match on saturday and i wondered what was going on. Then someone who works at the Walkers said that Allen doesn't let players park at the stadium because they are not superstars yet and they should find their own parking space and then walk to the stadium, then walk back to their cars what a legend.

She also said though that Allen and Milan have had a huge bust up and apparently Milan wanted Leicester to lose against Watford so he could sack Allen. Could be crap but then again could be true.

Hopefully thats a load of shit but the car parking could be true and it explains why Sheehan was walking to his car :P
