Sods Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 Best performance I saw from Weso was the Villa game last season when he played central midfield with Stearman. He can tackle, pass and shoot very well (unlike some of our other duffers in midfield over the last few seasons who have struggled to do any one of those!).I think playing with Clemence will bring on Weso's game - currently they are definitely the first-choice midfield pair, Kishishev doesn't come close from what I've seen of him. I think thats his weakness to be honest

BigGibbo Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 yes he's the most promising player in the championship & will be our captain before long well thats if we manage to keep him a secret otherwise its a few million move to chelsea or tottenham reserves
Webbo Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 Without wanting to go too much off topic this is 1 of the reasons why we must get promotion this season. If we don't he'll gone sooner rather than later.
consty Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 Weso's got so much going for him now. He's looking strong again and showing the footballing skills and decision-making qualities that are making him so influential in what is now a very good midfield. Not only that, he looks constantly happy. He seems to have a steady, and rather lovely-looking, girlfriend, seems popular with his colleagues and, on and off the ptich, conveys the impression of a captain in the making.... This is a very significant post. It is not only a spot on assessment of this young players' fast blossoming talent but takes in the context of how 'off the field' circumstances can help (or mar) a player. Stability, clean living whilst having fun within bounds that a professional athelete should set, are important for a player to see his talent reach its potential. Daggers Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 Apparently, Lennon has been utter guff for them. Prehaps Thracian was right . *ahem* I said he'd be bollocks while everyone was spouting about how he could still play at the top level if he wanted to. *polishes tit ready for medal*

Geo V Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 There is little doubt that he has the world at his feet and it wont be long before the Premiership sharks start swimming around looking to prize him away. Im not sure of his contract situation at present but I hope that MA does all he can to tie him to long deal as this lad could be anything. I'm also glad that he has the opportunity to perform better now he looks left, right and forwards and actually sees better class players and more options. I'm also sure that he can learn plenty from the likes of Kisha and Clem as playing alongside the likes of AJ and Low couldn't have been to healthy
Leonisco Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 The lads gonna score a 25-yard belter tonight, I can feel it.
Wooly Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 Do you think he'll stick around long enough to become a legend? If he keeps playing as he is now it will be quite a task to hold on to him, whether we make it to the Premiership or not
lookwhaticando Posted 28 August 2007 Share Posted 28 August 2007 It's great to know that he's contracted until 2010, or is it 2011? He says his wage inreases depending on appearances, so hopefully we can keep him happy. July 2011. He was offered a new and improved four year deal back in the summer. He and DJ Campbell are the only players contracted into 2011.

If he keeps playing as he is now it will be quite a task to hold on to him, whether we make it to the Premiership or not That will be the only worry. I did wonder why someone like Steve Walsh wasnt snapped up in the old days but the Premiership clubs have so much money and go for huge squads these days that anyone with ability eventually gets snapped up. The latest funny fee is the £2.5m that Sunderland are paying Stoke for Higginbottom who is nothing more than a decent defender. Kisnorbo must be worth £5m now!
